NFL preseason Week 1 runs from Thursday, August 7th, to Sunday, August 10th, with all 32 teams in action. The NFL preseason odds have been posted for all 16 games and, per usual, the spreads are narrow as all teams are expected to reach deep into their depth charts.
The table below lists the spread, total, and moneyline for all 16 games on the docket.
NFL Preseason Week 1 Odds
Nine of the 16 games have a spread that is under a field goal, and none are more than 3.5. The game totals show a little wider range, with the lowest at 32.5 and highest at 37.5.

Biggest Point Spreads for Preseason Week 1
Three games on the board have a spread of 3.5: Colts (-3.5) at Ravens, Panthers (-3.5) vs Browns, and Broncos (-3.5) at 49ers. For years, the Ravens were NFL preseason darlings, winning an absurd 23 straight games from 2016 to 2022. But John Harbaugh’s team is just 2-4 over the last two seasons, and now finds itself a 3.5-point home underdog against Indianapolis in the first game of preseason Week 1 on Thursday (Aug. 7th).
The 49ers are also 3.5-point home underdogs to the Broncos, while the Panthers are laying 3.5 at home against the Browns. Joe Flacco is currently the QB1 on the Cleveland depth chart with Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders listed two through four.
Lowest Preseason Week 1 Total: Falcons vs Lions
The lowest total on the board, by a full point, is Atlanta/Detroit in the Motor City, which has a total of just 32.5 points (-110 odds each way). Detroit is coming off an ugly 34-7 loss in the Hall of Fame Game against the Chargers. Kyle Allen and Hendon Hooker combined for just 104 yards and no touchdowns on 20 pass attempts, three of which wound up in the hands of LAC defensive backs.
The Lions rested all of their top draft picks, including first-round defensive tackle Tyleik Williams in the HOF Game. Detroit is expected to field a more competitive and talented lineup in Week 1. But don’t expect QB1 Jared Goff to make an appearance, which means the ball will remain in the hands of Allen and Hooker, the only other QBs on the Detroit depth chart.
