Mahomes passing yards over/under is just 2 yards higher than Derek Carr’s, while their completions prop is identical. Mahomes has a passing TD over/under of a full touchdown higher, yet Carr projects for three more attempts.
MNF Prop #1: Patrick Mahomes Over 35.5 Passing Attempts
Passing attempts aren’t listed in the table above, but Mahomes’ is set at 35.5 in the NFL Week 5 player props. We believe that line is too low for a few reasons. The Chiefs rank third through four games in pass rate over expectation, and the Raiders are more vulnerable through the air than they are on the ground.
Patrick Mahomes is 7-1 in his career vs the Raiders with the Chiefs averaging 37.4 points in the 8 games.

Las Vegas ranks 16th versus the run per DVOA but 22nd against the pass. They’ve averaging 34 pass attempts against per game, a number that would be much higher if they hadn’t already faced the run first Titans. The Raiders also rank bottom-eight in coverage per Pro Football Focus, and bottom-14 in pass rush productivity.
If we know this, Andy Reid does too, and he’ll attack their weakness relentlessly. Also working in favor of a pass-heavy script for Mahomes and Co. is the fact that Las Vegas can punch back. The Raiders rank top-10 in scoring, and 13th in total offense.
In eight career games against Las Vegas, Mahomes is 7-1, averaging 37.1 attempts per outing.
Pick: Patrick Mahomes Over 35.5 Pass Attempts (-155), 2 units
MNF Prop #2: Travis Kelce Over 6.5 Receptions
If we’re expecting major production from Mahomes, Kelce is likely to be targeted heavily. He’s seeing over 8.5 targets per game so far, hauling in 79% of his looks. Dating back to 2020, he’s faced the Raiders four times, catching at least eight passes in three of those outings.

Through four games the Las Vegas defense is surrendering the 13th most production to enemy tight ends, despite not facing any of the elite players at that position. Expect Kelce to eat them alive.
Pick: Travis Kelce Over 6.5 Receptions (+100), 1 unit

MNF Prop #3: Josh Jacobs Anytime TD
The Raiders are 7-point underdogs on MNF, and if this game is going to stay close, they’ll need to attack KC’s weakness. The Chiefs are top-11 in coverage per PFF and fifth in pressure rate. Against the run however, it’s a different story. They grade out in the middle of the pack according to PFF, while Josh Jacobs is fresh off running all over Denver.
CAREER DAY FOR JOSH JACOBS 🔥 pic.twitter.com/KIsn2Y8eIU
— PFF Fantasy & Betting (@PFF_Fantasy) October 2, 2022
Jacobs carried the ball 28 times for 144 yards and two scores. It marked the second time in four games he’s handled at least 19 carries, and he’s scored three TD in six career meetings with the Chiefs.
He ranks fourth in red zone rushing attempts this season, and in the game with the biggest total on the Week 5 slate at 51.5, he should have plenty of opportunities in scoring position.
Pick: Josh Jacobs Anytime TD (+135), 1 unit
