The Week 14 Sunday slate of games concludes with an absolute barnburner with potential huge playoff implications in the AFC. Both the Houston Texans (7-5) and Kansas City Chiefs (6-6) are scratching and clawing to make the postseason, where they currently are on the outside looking in.
There’s a lot of money to be made in NFL props, and I’ve compiled my three favorite HOU vs KC prop bets, below, including a touchdown-scorer bet in the Week 14 Sunday Night Football odds.
Texans vs Chiefs Player Props
Both teams are on the periphery of contenders in the Super Bowl odds, with the Chiefs at +1800 and the Texans +3000.

HOU vs KC Player Prop #1: Jayden Higgins Over 32.5 Receiving Yards
For my first prop, I’m going with a rookie receiver who has really become much more of a focal point in his first season – Jayden Higgins. He’s put up at least 34 yards in four straight, and five of six contests. This past week against the Colts was his high water mark of his young career, with Higgins catching five passes for 65 yards.
Kansas City ranks 12th in passing yards allowed per duel, with 205.8. However, in their last three outings, the Chiefs have surrendered 261.3 passing yards, and 320 last week versus Dallas. That 261.3 number, if extrapolated out to a full season, would rank worst in the league, which should mean that Higgins will get his chances to go over his total.
For a SGP paying out plus money, John Hyslop’s Texans vs Chiefs same-game parlay has you covered.

Texans vs Chiefs Prop Pick #2: Hollywood Brown Over 12.5 Receiving Yards
For my next prop I’m going with Hollywood Brown to have a modest game output wise, but it’s a number that could be reached with just one reception. He should be able to pick up 13 or more yards, given that he’s done so in ten of twelve contests on the campaign. While he hasn’t been as featured since Rashee Rice returned from suspension, he’s still contributing.
Patrick Mahomes has tossed for at least 250 yards in nine straight skirmishes and is 5-1 in his career against Houston. He’s thrown for an average of 270 yards in four regular season meetings vs HOU, and while it won’t be easy against a stout Texans’ D, asking Brown to bring in 13 or more yards isn’t a massive task.

Texans vs Chiefs Touchdown Scorer Props
Moving over to the Texans vs Chiefs touchdown scorer props, Kareem Hunt has the shortest odds to record a TD at +115. The player most likely to find the end zone for the Texans is Woody Marks at +165.
Texans vs Chiefs Prop Pick #3: Travis Kelce Anytime TD
For an anytime touchdown scorer, I’m going to look straight at Travis Kelce, who is showing he still has plenty left in the tank at age 36. He’s hauled in five TD’s on the year, including three in his last five battles.
It’d be easier to list the teams that Kelce hasn’t had success against, given his eventual hall-of-fame career. He’s racked up plenty of touchdowns against Houston, and given his current form, there’s a strong chance he’ll do it again. The added bonus is you can snag him at odds longer than the top-four choices on the board, so there’s decent value.
