The Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers clash in a Wild Card game that promises to be a defensive battle, with both offenses looking to overcome recent struggles in finding the end zone. With frigid temperatures and light snow expected at Acrisure Stadium, this matchup sets up as a classic playoff grind where every scoring opportunity becomes magnified. The action kicks off Monday, January 12, at 8:15 pm ET on ABC/ESPN.

Best Touchdown Scorer Bets for Wild Card Monday
HOU vs PIT Touchdown Pick #1: Woody Marks Anytime TD (+190 at BetRivers)
The Texans’ lead back presents exceptional value at +187 to find the end zone in what projects as a ground-heavy game script. With Jawhar Jordan sidelined due to an ankle injury, Marks becomes the 1A and 1B option in Houston’s backfield, handling goal-line carries and short-yardage situations, as well as between the 20s. The weather conditions (27°F with light snow) heavily favor power running schemes over finesse passing plays.
Marks only had five TDs in the regular season (two rushing, three receiving) but that was largely because of competition in the Houston backfield. The more-diminutive Marks often ceded carries in the red zone. That could still happen with the bigger RB3 Nick Chubb suiting up but, at nearly 2-to-1 odds, Marks represents strong value for a player who should see 15+ carries in challenging weather conditions.
HOU vs PIT Touchdown Pick #2: Dalton Schultz Anytime TD (+245 at DraftKings)
The veteran tight end offers compelling odds as one of Houston’s most reliable red-zone target. Schultz has emerged as CJ Stroud’s security blanket, particularly in high-pressure situations where quick releases become essential. He only had three touchdowns in the regular season but is due for some positive regression. In terms of red-zone targets, he was second on the team to Nico Collins (16) with 11. Yet, Woody Marks and Jayden Higgins had as many or more RZ touchdowns on significantly fewer targets.

The frigid Pittsburgh conditions should force both teams into shorter passing concepts, where tight ends traditionally thrive. Schultz’s notable physical presence becomes even more pronounced in physical, weather-affected contests.
