Selecting which team will win, or if they’ll cover the spread is standard but it’s a wager that doesn’t create a buzz quite like hitting on a player who scores a touchdown. That provides instant gratification and keeps games exciting, even if it’s not a close contest, so I’m hunting for players to find pay dirt on Thursday Night Football.
I’ve put together three players to find the end zone in this New York Jets (2-7) vs New England Patriots (8-2) skirmish, and add them all up for a same-game parlay payout with juicy +3500 odds, should they all record a TD.

Stefon Diggs Anytime TD (+150)
My first choice goes to a man who has been very hot of late with strong chemistry developing with Drake Maye – Stefon Diggs. After not finding the end zone in his first seven games, Diggs has reached pay dirt in each of his last three contests.
He’s up against a Jets passing defense that’s allowed 17 passing TD’s this year, in the bottom ten of the NFL. They also now don’t have All-Pro Cornerback Sauce Gardner after he was dealt to the Colts, along with another All-Pro in defensive linemen Quinnen Williams, who was traded to the Cowboys. In their first outing without those two, the Jets surrendered two passing TD’s to Dillon Gabriel and the Browns.
In his last six duels versus the hated Jets, Diggs has recorded a touchdown in half of the contests, most recently when he was with the Bills in 2023 (he didn’t face NYJ with Houston last year). He comes up big when the lights are bright – attempting to become just the fifth player with 15 games of 100+ receiving yards in primetime, joining Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Davante Adams and Travis Kelce.
Breece Hall Anytime TD (+190)
Next I’ll pivot to the only New York Jet I have any confidence in recording a touchdown in Breece Hall. I’d also have a lot of belief in WR Garrett Wilson, but he’s expected to miss multiple weeks with a knee sprain. Hall has found the end zone three times in the last two weeks, punching it in twice against the Bengals while rushing, and then a receiving TD last week versus the Browns.
It won’t be a cake walk for the Jets star running back, as he’s against a stingy Patriots rush D that’s surrendered just three touchdowns to RB’s, but as I scour over the Jets options to get a TD, there’s truly none that I can back with any confidence.
With the Jets winning their last two games, I’m banking on them keeping it close early on, and that could be just the opportunity for Hall to find the end zone.
Demario Douglas Anytime TD (+390)
For my final selection I’m going with Patriots wideout Demario Douglas, as a bit of a longer shot to make things interesting. He has three TD’s on the campaign, and for the same reason of not believing in the Jets pass D for Stefon Diggs, it applies to Douglas. New England will also be without WR Kayshon Boutte and his team-leading five touchdown receptions (hamstring).
If you’re feeling especially frisky, including Stefon Diggs, Breece Hall and Demario Douglas in a same-game TD parlay pays out at a cool +3500.
