Selecting which team will win, or if they’ll cover the spread is standard but it’s a wager that doesn’t create a buzz quite like hitting on a player who scores a touchdown. That provides instant gratification and keeps games exciting, even if it’s not a close contest, so I’m hunting for players to find pay dirt on Thursday Night Football.
I’ve put together three players to find the end zone in this Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) vs Denver Broncos (7-2) skirmish, and add them all up for a same-game parlay payout with juicy +2500 odds, should they all record a TD.

Brock Bowers Anytime TD (+180)
My first choice shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as Brock Bowers returned from an injury last week with a vengeance, racking up three touchdowns against the Jaguars.
It won’t be easy for the Raiders star tight end against a stingy Broncos passing D, but I’m banking on him being able to find the end zone either when the game is competitive or when Geno Smith is tossing a TD with the game out of hand.
With him back after missing three games with a knee injury, he provided sorely need juice in the Raiders passing attack. He’s got longer odds than Ashton Jeanty to record a TD, so you’re getting a bit more value for a Raiders player coming off a career-best game. He was the first tight end with 125 receiving yards and three TD’s in a game since Rob Gronkowski in 2014.
Troy Franklin Anytime TD (+190)
Next I’ll pivot to Denver’s wideout Troy Franklin, who is tied for the team lead in touchdown catches with four. He’s picked up three of those in the last three outings, and I like his slightly longer odds compared to teammate Sutton. The latter picked up his first touchdown in his last five outings last weekend.
Franklin has accumulated three receiving TD’s in the aforementioned last three duels, after hauling in just one the first six contests. He leads the Broncos in targets (64) bringing in 385 yards.
Franklin will be facing a reeling Raiders squad that’s surrendered at least 25 points in five of the last six battles, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Bo Nix to find Franklin in the end zone. Nix has 20 total TD this season, one off Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford for most in the league.
R.J. Harvey Anytime TD (+220)
For my final selection I’m going with Broncos rookie running back R.J. Harvey, who has become a weapon in the passing game. He leads the squad with six scrimmage scores (4 receiving, 2 rushing), and is the first rookie RB since 1970 to record a receiving touchdown in three straight outings.
Two games ago he carried the ball seven times and had two TD’s against Dallas, and should the Broncos hand the ball off to him, he’d be trying to infiltrate a very susceptible Raiders rushing D. They’re given up twelve rushing touchdowns already, tied for second worst in the NFL.
If you’re feeling especially frisky, including Brock Bowers, Troy Franklin and R.J. Harvey in a same-game TD parlay pays out at a cool +2500.
