Selecting which team will win, or if they’ll cover the spread is standard but it’s a wager that doesn’t create a buzz quite like hitting on a player who scores a touchdown. That provides instant gratification and keeps games exciting, even if it’s not a close contest, so I’m hunting for players to find pay dirt on Thursday Night Football.
I’ve put together three players to find the end zone in this Baltimore Ravens (2-5) vs Miami Dolphins (2-6) tilt, and add them all up for a same-game parlay payout as well with juicy +2400 odds, should they all record a TD.

De’Von Achane Anytime TD (-141)
My first choice shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as it’s a pretty basic selection. Dolphins starting running back De’Von Achane has found the end zone in six of eight affairs on the campaign, including last week against the Falcons.
He’s going up against a Ravens defensive unit that isn’t like the glory days for the franchise, as they’re surrendering the fifth worst yards per outing (379.6). Baltimore has also allowed ten TD’s on the ground in just seven battles, with a rushing TD scored in all but two contests.
What also helps Achane for this wager is the fact he’s dangerous both running the ball and catching it. The Miami RB has recorded a TD three times running the ball (with Miami losing most games they have had to abandon the running game), but also four times catching passes, as he has at least three receptions in seven of eight contests on the campaign.
Jaylen Waddle Anytime TD (+156)
Next I’ll pivot to Miami’s leading receiver in Jaylen Waddle, who paces the team with 504 yards. He’s also tied with Achane and Darren Waller for the team lead with four touchdowns.
Waddle has really picked up his play in the last month, hauling in at least 95 yards in three of his last four outings, and he’s up against a D that’s surrendered two passing touchdowns per outing on average, fifth worst in the NFL.
Despite Miami’s troubles on a lost season that sees the at 2-6, QB Tua Tagovailoa is still slinging around the pigskin, connecting on 15 TD passes, two off the high water mark on the campaign. He also has ten picks, tied with Geno Smith for worst in the NFL. Whether the Dolphins win or lose, however, it won’t be for lack of trying to use his arm, and this is where Waddle can snag a touchdown.
DeAndre Hopkins Anytime TD (+500)
For my final selection I’m going out on a limb for a fun longshot in forgotten wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins at +500. Before Lamar Jackson was injured in Week 4, he and Hopkins seemed to be on the same page, with TD strikes in the first two games.
Things haven’t exactly gone to plan since then, which is why Hopkins’ odds to secure a TD are so long. However, it’s solid enough value that he might be able to reclaim some of his past magic to record a TD. If you’re feeling especially frisky, including De’Von Achane, Jaylen Waddle and DeAndre Hopkins in a same-game TD parlay pays out at a cool +2400.
