Selecting which team will win, or if they’ll cover the spread is all fine and dandy, but it’s a three-hour sweat that might end up in disappointment. However, wagering on a player to record a touchdown and it hits provides instant gratification and keeps games exciting, even if it’s not a close contest.
I’ve put together three players that could find paydirt in this Minnesota Vikings (3-3) vs Los Angeles Chargers (4-3) duel, and add them all up for a same-game parlay payout as well with juicy +4500 odds, should they all record a TD.

Jordan Mason Anytime TD (+120)
My first choice shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given that Jordan Mason has the shortest odds to find the end zone. That’s something he’s been able to accomplish four times in the last four contests, recording a TD in three of four.
He’s going up against a Chargers unit that has been torched by opposing running backs, surrendering ten touchdowns, the second worst mark in the league (Titans). The last three contests have seen LA give up seven TD’s to RB’s, three for Jonathan Taylor (IND), and two each for De’Vone Achane (MIA) and Jacory Croskey-Merritt (WSH).
Los Angeles has really struggled in their last four showdowns (1-3) after starting the season brilliantly at 3-0. They’ve allowed at least 20 points in all but one game, giving up 38 to Indy and 27 to both Miami and Washington. If that trend continues Thursday night, Mason will have plenty of opportunities to record a touchdown.
Keenan Allen Anytime TD (+180)
Next I’ll pivot to the Chargers clapping back on Minny with a TD of their own. Keenan Allen has been a revelation in his second tour of duty with LA, picking up 435 receiving yards to pace the unit. He’s also recorded a touchdown four times this year, after an eleven catch, 119 yard and one score day against the Colts last weekend.
In 2024 with the Bears, Allen had two big games versus the Vikes, with 15 catches for 168 yards and a TD in both contests. The last two affairs, the Vikings allowed five passing scores, three to Jalen Hurts and the Eagles and two for Dillon Gabriel and the Browns.
After jumping out of the gate with end zone trips the first three duels this year for LAC, Allen hadn’t been back in three battles until he was able to record a TD vs Indy. For that reason, he’s the fourth choice amongst Chargers to record a touchdown, but given his recent history against the Vikings, I like the value on him.
Josh Oliver Anytime TD (+900)
For my final selection I’m going out on a limb for a fun longshot in backup tight end Josh Oliver. Surprisingly it’s Oliver, and not Justin Jefferson, T.J. Hockenson, or Jordan Addison that leads the Vikings in receiving TD’s, but it’s Oliver and his two scores.
Of course this isn’t as likely to happen, given that he doesn’t receive many targets (one game with more than one target this season). However, he does have those two TD’s in the last four contests, so it’s not completely out of the realm of possibilities. If you’re feeling especially frisky, including Jordan Mason, Keenan Allen and Josh Oliver in a same-game TD parlay pays out at a cool +4500.
