  • The Rams duel the Seahawks in a gargantuan NFC West Week 16 tilt on TNF
  • I’ve selected three players to find the end zone for this primetime duel

Selecting which team will win, or if they’ll cover the spread is standard but it’s a wager that doesn’t create a buzz quite like hitting on a player who scores a touchdown. That provides instant gratification and keeps games exciting, even if it’s not a close contest, so I’m hunting for players to find pay dirt on Thursday Night Football.

I’ve put together three players to find the end zone in this gigantic Los Angeles Rams (11-3) vs Seattle Seahawks (11-3) skirmish with the winner taking control of the NFC West. They’ll have the inside track to the top seed in the NFC, along with the first round playoff bye. This is the first ever matchup between two eleven win squads on Thursday Night Football, so it should be a barnburner. Adding up all three selections for a same-game parlay has juicy +5500 odds.

Blake Corum Anytime TD (+240 at bet365)

My first choice has me selecting Rams time-share running back Blake Corum to find the end zone. That’s something he’s done in three straight contests, where he’s racked up four total touchdowns.

His price is double that of backfield mate Kyren Williams, allowing there to be much more value, given that they’ve both recorded four TD’s in the last three outings.

Corum’s three highest outputs (yardage wise) of his two-year NFL career have all come in the last three games, as he’s being utilized more in the Rams offense.

Colby Parkinson Anytime TD (+250 at Sports Interaction)

Next I’m looking towards a Rams tight end that’s been on a heater in the last couple of months, with Colby Parkinson finding pay dirt six times in the last six matches. In that span, he’s recorded a TD in all but one of those duels, accounting for all his touchdowns this season.

Los Angeles puts three tight ends on the field way more than anybody in football (24.6% of snaps, compared to a 5.6% league average), allowing Parkinson plenty of opportunities to score against his former squad.

With teammate Davante Adams doubtful for this game (hamstring) that opens up more of a chance that Parkinson will continue his heater and pick up a TD.

Rashid Shaheed Anytime TD (+370 at DraftKings)

For my final selection I’m going to the other side of the field with Rashid Shaheed. I can’t in good conscience pick multiple Seahawks players, considering they’ve struggled offensively of late, relying on six field goals and zero TD’s to defeat Indy last week. They’ve not secured a first half touchdown in the last three games and four of five.

Additionally, Sam Darnold has been poor the last two marquee matchups versus the Rams, with just one TD, five picks and nine sacks, including his dreadful four INT affair against LA in Week 11. Shaheed hadn’t done much in his first four games since being acquired by the Seahawks at the trade deadline, but he’s come to life the last two battles. He’s put up 74 and 67 yards against ATL and IND, showing he’s much more involved in the offense.

Plus, he’s the primary kick and punt returner, where you can also secure a TD from him, something he did two weeks ago against the Falcons (kick return TD).

If you’re feeling especially frisky (and why not, it’s fun to wager on a juicy SGP!), including Blake Corum, Colby Parkinson and Rashid Shaheed in a same-game TD parlay pays out a cool +5500.
