Coming off their first loss of the season, the Minnesota Vikings (5-1, 5-1 ATS) look to take back top spot in the NFC North – at least for the time being – when they face the Los Angeles Rams (2-4, 1-5 ATS) at SoFi Stadium on Thursday Night Football this evening (8:15 pm ET). Minnesota is a field-goal favorite on the road and the public is hammering Minny to both win and cover in the Vikings vs Rams public betting splits.

The public is also hammering the Vikings as field-goal favorites against the spread. So far, 80% of ATS handle as 82% of ATS bets are on Minnesota to cover.
The public is more divided on the game total but still has a strong lean to the under, putting 61% of game-total handle and 65% of tickets on under 48.0. That number has come down half a point since opening at 48.5, while the spread and moneyline are basically unchanged.

Minnesota Vikings vs LA Rams Injury Reports
Minnesota Vikings | Injury | Game Status |
---|---|---|
Blake Cashman (LB) | Toe | Out |
Akayleb Evans (CB) | Hip | Questionable |
Dalton Risner (G) | Back | Questionable |
TJ Hockenson (TE) | Knee | Questionable |
LA Rams | Injury | Game Status |
Joe Noteboom (C) | Ankle | Out |
Jordan Whittington (WR) | Shoulder | Out |
Troy Reeder (LB) | Hamstring | Out |
Braden Fiske (DT) | Back | Questionable |
Neville Gallimore (DT) | Shoulder | Questionable |
Puka Nacua (WR) | Knee | Questionable |
As has usually been the case in recent history, the Rams are in worse shape, injury-wise, than their opponents. On offense, tackle Joe Noteboom, who played 50% of snaps last year, is out with an ankle injury. He’s joined by WR Jordan Whittington (18 receptions, 201 yards) and starting inside linebacker Troy Reeder.
Another trio of Rams are questionable, including rising star Puka Nacua (knee), who hasn’t played since LA’s Week 1 loss to the Rams.
Minnesota will also be missing one of its starting ILBs with Blake Cashman (toe) ruled out for TNF. He’s the only Viking player listed as out on their final injury report. Backup corner Akayleb Evans is questionable with a hip injury.
It’s possible that a pair of important Minnesota players could make their season debuts tonight: guard Dalton Risner, who’s been kept out by a back injury up to this point, played 67% of snaps on the Minnesota O-line last season; and tight end TJ Hockenson (knee) who had 960 receiving yards and five touchdowns for Minnesota last year.
