Week 7 NFL Predictions: Computer Score Projections, Expert Picks & Upset Analysis

By Brady Trettenero in NFL News
Published:

Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season continues after Thursday night’s Bengals victory over Pittsburgh. The action resumes with an early London game Sunday morning, followed by 13 more matchups through Monday night. SBD’s formula has generated score predictions for the remaining games, and I’ve identified two strong upset candidates that could pay out nicely.
I nailed both upset picks last week with the Panthers and Falcons winning outright. My best bet of Ravens +7.5 came close but fell short when Cooper Rush couldn’t deliver in crunch time.
This week brings challenging weather conditions and key injuries that will shape outcomes across the league. I’m targeting the Vikings and Falcons as my upset picks. These are outright winner predictions. For spread analysis, check out Zach Reger’s NFL picks against the spread for Week 7.
Week 7 NFL Predictions
The computer’s Thursday night prediction didn’t start well, with Cincinnati beating Pittsburgh 33-31 instead of the projected Steelers blowout. But the formula likes both my upset picks this week, which adds extra confidence to those selections.

NFL Best Bet for Week 7
Green Bay Packers vs Arizona Cardinals: Over 44.5 Points
The total sits at 44.5 in the Week 7 NFL odds, and that number is way too low based on my predictions. This game has shootout written all over it in the desert.
Jordan Love has been elite this season, ranking first in EPA per dropback at +0.35 and second in yards per attempt at 8.6. He’s thrown a touchdown in every game and has the Packers converting third downs at a league-best 52.3% clip. Josh Jacobs has exploded over the past two weeks with 307 total yards and four touchdowns.
The key matchup is Trey McBride against Green Bay’s linebackers. McBride ranks second among all tight ends with 347 receiving yards, and the Packers have allowed 69.5 yards per game to the position. He’s a walking 70-plus yards with touchdown upside.
Arizona’s defense ranks 24th in total yards allowed, and their pass defense has allowed explosive plays all season. Meanwhile, Green Bay’s defense has a massive weakness. They allow 13.7 points per game in the fourth quarter, dead last in the NFL.
Both teams struggle in the red zone, but I don’t expect that to matter as much in pristine indoor conditions at State Farm Stadium. The Over is 5-1 in the Cardinals’ last six home games, and this battle between two talented offenses should get into the 50s.
NFL Week 7 Upset Picks
Minnesota Vikings (+1.5) over Philadelphia Eagles
Carson Wentz gets his revenge game against the team that gave up on him. The Eagles are reeling with back-to-back losses to Denver and the Giants, and their offense is completely broken.
Philadelphia ranks 25th in rushing yards per game at just 95.3. Saquon Barkley has cratered from 2,005 rushing yards last season to a pace for roughly 908 this year. His yards before contact dropped from 3.2 to just 1.00. The offensive line can’t create holes.
Brian Flores’ defense will torture Jalen Hurts. The Vikings lead the league in defensive EPA at -0.20 and blitz at the second-highest rate (38%). Hurts faces more defensive back blitzes than any quarterback and holds the ball for 2.98 seconds on average. Minnesota gets pressure in 2.53 seconds.
Justin Jefferson thrives against zone coverage, which Philadelphia runs 77% of the time. He ranks seventh with 449 receiving yards and owns a 29% target share. With Jalen Carter questionable due to injury, expect Jefferson to feast and take full advantage of Wentz having more time to throw.
The Vikings are 4-1 straight up in their last five primetime games. Wentz is 2-1 as a starter with five touchdowns to two interceptions. This should be a statement game for Minnesota at home.
Atlanta Falcons (+1.5) over San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are decimated by injuries. Fred Warner is out for the season after fracturing his ankle. Nick Bosa tore his ACL in Week 3. Brock Purdy remains out with his toe injury, meaning Mac Jones gets another start.
Without Warner and Bosa, San Francisco’s defense has collapsed. They allowed a maximum of 307 yards per game with both healthy. Since losing them, they’ve given up at least 325 yards each game and are averaging 26.3 points allowed. The 49ers went an entire game without a sack or QB hit for the first time since 2015.
Meanwhile, Atlanta’s defense is the real deal. They lead the NFL in total defense (253.4 yards per game) and passing defense (139.4 yards per game). They’ve held every opponent under 300 total yards this season.
Bijan Robinson might be the best player in football right now. He leads the NFL with 822 yards from scrimmage through five games and is on pace for 2,795 scrimmage yards, which would shatter the NFL record. The 49ers allow 6.2 yards per carry on outside zone runs. Atlanta runs outside zone 64% of the time.
Drake London has back-to-back 100-yard games and thrives against zone coverage. The 49ers run zone 77% of the time and rank 31st with just seven sacks. Mac Jones was sacked six times last week by Tampa Bay.
Most Impactful NFL Injuries for Week 7
Rams at Jaguars (London)
- Puka Nacua, WR (Rams): OUT
- Rob Havenstein, RT (Rams): OUT
Nacua’s absence removes Stafford’s best weapon. The Rams offense struggles without him.
Eagles at Vikings
- Grant Calcaterra, TE (Eagles): OUT
- Landon Dickerson, G (Eagles): QUESTIONABLE
- Jalen Carter, DT (Eagles): QUESTIONABLE
- Andrew Van Ginkel, OLB (Vikings): OUT
Philadelphia’s offensive line issues continue with Dickerson questionable. Carter’s potential absence weakens their pass rush significantly.
Panthers at Jets
- Garrett Wilson, WR (Jets): DOUBTFUL
- Michael Carter, CB (Jets): OUT
Wilson’s likely absence destroys the Jets passing game. They managed minus-10 net passing yards without him last week.
Saints at Bears
- Cairo Santos, K (Bears): OUT
- Noah Sewell, LB (Bears): OUT
- D’Andre Swift, RB (Bears): QUESTIONABLE
Chicago without their kicker in a windy game is problematic. Swift’s status bears watching after his 108-yard performance.
Dolphins at Browns
- David Njoku, TE (Browns): OUT
Cleveland loses their second-leading receiver in terrible weather conditions.
Raiders at Chiefs
- Brock Bowers, TE (Raiders): DOUBTFUL
- Rashee Rice, WR (Chiefs): ACTIVATED
Bowers missing a fourth straight game hurts Las Vegas. Rice returns from his six-game suspension after 380 days away.
Patriots at Titans
- Calvin Ridley, WR (Titans): OUT
- Arden Key, OLB (Titans): OUT
Tennessee without their top receiver against a solid Patriots defense.
Colts at Chargers
- Josh Downs, WR (Colts): OUT
- Joe Alt, T (Chargers): DOUBTFUL
- Trey Pipkins, T (Chargers): OUT
The Chargers offensive line is decimated with both starting tackles likely out.
Giants at Broncos
- Darius Slayton, WR (Giants): OUT
- John Michael Schmitz, C (Giants): OUT
New York missing key pieces on offense in a tough road environment.
Commanders at Cowboys
- Terry McLaurin, WR (Commanders): OUT
- Deebo Samuel, WR (Commanders): OUT
- CeeDee Lamb, WR (Cowboys): ACTIVATED
- Trevon Diggs, CB (Cowboys): OUT
Washington loses both top receivers. Lamb returns for Dallas after three weeks but Diggs is out with a concussion.
Packers at Cardinals
- Christian Watson, WR (Packers): OUT
- Devonte Wyatt, DT (Packers): OUT
- Lukas Van Ness, OLB (Packers): OUT
- Kyler Murray, QB (Cardinals): QUESTIONABLE
Murray’s a game-time decision with a foot injury. Jacoby Brissett would start if Murray can’t go.
Falcons at 49ers
- Fred Warner, LB (49ers): OUT
- Brock Purdy, QB (49ers): OUT
- Ricky Pearsall, WR (49ers): OUT
- Yetur Gross-Matos, DE (49ers): OUT
- George Kittle, TE (49ers): ACTIVATED
- Darnell Mooney, WR (Falcons): QUESTIONABLE
Warner’s season-ending ankle injury devastates San Francisco’s defense. Kittle returns after five games but Purdy remains out.
Buccaneers at Lions
- Mike Evans, WR (Bucs): QUESTIONABLE
- Chris Godwin, WR (Bucs): OUT
- Bucky Irving, RB (Bucs): OUT
- Terrion Arnold, CB (Lions): OUT
- Kerby Joseph, S (Lions): OUT
Tampa Bay’s offense is decimated. Evans returns but doctors warn of high re-injury risk. Detroit’s secondary is also banged up.
Texans at Seahawks
- Christian Kirk, WR (Texans): OUT
- Devon Witherspoon, CB (Seahawks): QUESTIONABLE
- Julian Love, S (Seahawks): QUESTIONABLE
Houston without their deep threat. Seattle’s secondary could be severely weakened.
Weather Impacting Week 7 NFL Games
Week 7 brings the most active weather we’ve seen all season. Multiple games face significant wind and rain that will impact betting totals.
Saints at Bears: Most rain clears before kickoff, but winds are the major issue. Sustained winds around 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph. This impacts deep throws and field goals significantly. Lean on the under.
Dolphins at Browns: Heavy rain throughout with massive wind concerns. Sustained winds around 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph. The passing game will struggle badly. Strong under play.
Patriots at Titans: Rain ending near kickoff with winds building to 15-20 mph and gusts around 30 mph. Another game where the under has value.
Rams at Jaguars (London): Consistent rain throughout at Wembley Stadium. The partially retractable roof keeps fans dry, but not the field. Expect a sloppy game.
Panthers at Jets: Sustained winds 10-15 mph with gusts over 20 mph. It could impact longer field goal attempts.
The remaining games should see minimal weather impact. The Falcons-49ers game in Santa Clara gets perfect conditions with clear skies. Check out our NFL odds page for the latest lines on all Week 7 games.
