All odds as of Jan. 15th

Goal Prop #1: For Starters, Marchand’s The Man

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has scored in three of their last four games against the New Jersey Devils. In fact, he’s scored the first goal of the game in all of those three games.

This is one trend that can’t be ignored.

Pick: Boston’s Brad Marchand to score the first goal (+1000), 1 unit.

Goal Prop #2: Mantha Will Be Winging It

The new-look Detroit Red Wings looked an awful lot like the awful old-look Wings who were the NHL’s worst team last season by a country mile. They were shutout at home 3-0 by the Carolina Hurricanes.

In Saturday’s rematch at Little Caesars Arena, the Wings won’t be blanked a second time. Anthony Mantha is Detroit’s best finisher. He’ll get on the board on Saturday.

Pick: Detroit Red Wings Anthony Mantha anytime goal (+215), 1 unit.

Goal Prop #3: Auston’s Capital City Limits

Most Americans don’t know that Canada’s capital city is Ottawa, but Auston Matthews is an American who knows how to capitalize against the Ottawa Senators.

Entering the season, the Toronto Maple Leafs forward had netted 13 goals in 15 games against Ottawa. That’s his most productive pace against any NHL team.

Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs Auston Matthews anytime goal (-136), 1 unit.

Goal Prop #4: The Bread Man Gets His Spread

Like the Wings, the New York Rangers also put up a goose egg in their opener, losing 4-0 to their hated rivals the New York Islanders. In Saturday’s rematch, the Bread Man will toast the Isles.

Last season, Rangers forward Artemi Panarin put up 3-5-8 totals against the Islanders. He’ll rise to the occasion on Saturday.

Pick: New York Rangers Artemi Panarin anytime goal (+175).
