Los Angeles (14-8-7, 12-17 ATS) squares off against Seattle (11-10-6, 19-8 ATS), with LA in third place in the Pacific, while their counterparts are sitting in sixth, seven points separating them.

Action is set to get underway at 10:00 pm ET / 7 pm PT from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, with TNT/HBO Max/truTV providing the coverage in the United States.

• Los Angeles Kings -1.5 (+180)

My Kings vs Kraken prediction is that LA will easily take care of their rivals, despite Seattle being such a great team ATS. The Kraken have been reeling, losing six straight affairs after surprisingly starting the campaign 11-4-5. Three of their last four defeats have been by multiple goals, and the Kings have won their last two by two or more markers. I’m expecting those streaks to continue with Tinseltown winning on the puck line.

Per the NHL odds, our SBD formula has Los Angeles taking this one 3.31-2.82, which points to over 5.5 goals being scored between the Kings vs Kraken.

It may not be easy for Seattle to cover, considering Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper, should he play, has been rock solid for LA, with a .914 sv% and a 2.23 GAA. He’s surrendered two or fewer goals in all but two of his previous twelve starts. Joey Daccord has made six of Seattle’s last seven starts, and it’s not been pretty, coughing up four or more tallies in his last three contests.

In the Stanley Cup Odds, the Kings are in the periphery of contenders at +3000, while the Kraken are a massive +50000 longshot. Why I especially love Los Angeles on the puck line in this one is their superb 10-2-4 road record (compared to 4-6-3 at home).

LAK vs SEA Season Stats/Ranks

LA has struggled to score goals, ranking near the bottom of the league in goals per outing, and dead last on the power play. They’ve been much more proficient at keeping pucks out of their cage, ranking third best in goals allowed per game.

SEA has been a mess of late, in particular, and are worst at scoring, but also have the last-ranked penalty kill as well, a ghastly combination.

For a prop bet, I’m going with Kings forward Adrian Kempe to light the lamp. He’s tied for the team lead (Kevin Fiala) with ten markers, potting a goal in three of his last five contests.

Additionally, Kempe loves playing the Kraken, having scored in four of his last five affairs versus his Pacific Division rival. If you want to get spicy and parlay the Kings puckline, plus Kempe to snipe, that total pays out a cool +377.
