Kraken vs Canucks Prediction, Picks, Odds & Projected Lineups for Saturday Night
By Brady Trettenero in NHL Hockey
Published:
- Seattle has won five straight in Vancouver, and are expected to continue those winning ways tonight
- The Canucks are 7-20-5 at home this season and 0-7 in their last seven Saturday games
- My Kraken vs Canucks prediction and picks are below, plus odds and projected lineups for Saturday night
The Seattle Kraken (29-26-9) visit the Vancouver Canucks (20-37-8) Saturday night at Rogers Arena. Seattle sits one point outside the Western Conference’s final Wild Card spot and needs to snap a four-game skid. Vancouver, meanwhile, is playing out the string at the bottom of the standings.
Bobby McMann is expected to make his Kraken debut after clearing visa issues following last week’s trade from Toronto. Vancouver has gutted its roster over the last two months, moving Quinn Hughes in January and dealing Tyler Myers and Conor Garland at the deadline. They did beat Nashville 4-3 in a shootout on Thursday.
Let’s get into my Kraken vs Canucks prediction, picks and odds for Saturday’s 7pm ET puck drop.

Kraken vs Canucks Prediction
- Kraken ML (-140 at Bet365)
Seattle has lost four straight, but this is the spot to break the skid. My Kraken vs Canucks prediction is on the Seattle moneyline.
The Kraken are 5-0 in the last five meetings in Vancouver and 22-8 over their last 30 road games against teams with a home winning percentage below .400. Vancouver is just 7-20-5 at Rogers Arena this season, and the numbers across the board back the visitors.
Kraken vs Canucks Key Stats
Vancouver allows 3.68 goals per game (worst in the NHL) and their .876 save percentage ranks 28th. Seattle’s defense is a full goal per game better, and the Kraken’s .898 save percentage is sixth in the league.
Both penalty kills rank bottom-two, so special teams could be chaotic. But Seattle’s structural advantage at even strength is clear, and the goaltending matchup tilts their way too.
Grubauer vs Tolopilo Stats
Grubauer has a 2.54 GAA and .911 save percentage in 25 games this season. The 34-year-old has been a steady presence when called upon.
Tolopilo is making his third straight start after picking up two recent wins. The 25-year-old has been thrust into the primary role due to injuries, and while his .896 save percentage is respectable, he’s only made 14 appearances this season. Facing a desperate playoff team is a different test.
Kraken vs Canucks Picks
I’m leading off my Kraken vs Canucks picks with Jordan Eberle on shots. The captain has been peppering the net lately, and Vancouver’s defense is the perfect target.
- Jordan Eberle Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+136 at FanDuel)

Jordan Eberle has gone over 2.5 shots on goal in four straight games, averaging 3.25 per contest in that stretch. The recently extended captain is locked into top-line minutes with Beniers and McMann, and Vancouver allows 29.69 shots per game (27th).
At +136, this is plus-money on a player riding a hot shooting streak against one of the worst defensive teams in the league.
- Jared McCann Over 0.5 Points (-151 at DraftKings)

Rounding out my Kraken vs Canucks picks, I’m backing McCann to find the scoresheet against his Pacific Division rival.
McCann has recorded a point in five straight games against Vancouver, averaging 1.4 points per game in those matchups. He leads the Kraken in career goals (134) and is Seattle’s most dangerous offensive weapon on the second line with Stephenson and Tolvanen.
The price at -151 is steep, but McCann’s history against the Canucks makes it worth the juice. Vancouver’s .876 save percentage and 71.2% PK won’t slow him down.
Kraken vs Canucks Odds
Odds as of March 14 via consensus sportsbooks. New customers can grab the Caesars Sportsbook promo code and bet on tonight’s NHL odds.
The Kraken vs Canucks odds have Seattle as a moderate road favorite at -140, which translates to roughly a 57% implied probability. Vancouver is around +120 on the moneyline.
The over has hit in seven of the last eight meetings in Vancouver and 12 of the last 18 overall. The road team has also won eight of the last 11 in this series, which lines up with how we’re betting tonight.

Vancouver’s blue line is barely recognizable, with 2024 draft pick Zeev Buium and Tom Willander eating big minutes. Marco Rossi has been a bright spot since arriving from Minnesota, recording a three-point night in his second game as a Canuck.
