Seattle (26-20-9, 38-17 ATS, best ATS in the NHL, 61 pts) squares off against Los Angeles (23-17-14, 20-34 ATS, fifth worst ATS in hockey, 60 pts), with SEA in fourth place in the Pacific Division and in the final Wild Card spot, while their counterparts are sitting in fifth, one point separating them.

Action is set to get underway at 7:00 pm PT / 10:00 pm ET from crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, with ESPN+ providing the coverage in the United States.

• Seattle Kraken Moneyline (+150 at DraftKings)

My Kraken vs Kings prediction is that Seattle will continue their strong play against LA and win a third straight battle against them this season. The Kraken have taken four of five in the series, so getting them at +150 is enticing. The road squad started the campaign 0-2-1 in the second outing of back-to-backs, but have since gone 3-1-1 in that scenario.

Per the NHL odds, our SBD formula has Seattle pulling off the upset 3.18-3.13, which points to over 5.5 goals being scored between the Kraken vs Kings, and dovetails with my prediction. LA has their hands full, with their adversaries taking five of their last seven overall affairs, beating every team except losing twice to Anaheim.

The Kraken may catch a break in Kings top pairing blueliner Mikey Anderson possibly being out after injuring himself versus the Hurricanes Sunday. Goalies haven’t been confirmed, but it’s expected to be Joey Daccord (SEA) against Darcy Kuemper (LA).

The former has surrendered exactly two goals in each of his last three skirmishes, and also allowed just two both times vs the Kings this season (both wins). Daccord has given up two or fewer markers in seven of eight career starts vs LA. Kuemper put up crooked numbers in January, going 4-4-3 with a 3.28 GAA and .873 save percentage.

In the Stanley Cup Odds, the Kings are just off the periphery of contenders at +5000, while the Kraken are a massive +40000 longshot.

SEA vs LAK Season Stats/Ranks

Both squads have had a really tough time scoring goals on the campaign, ranking towards the bottom, but on the plus side, they both are top-ten in preventing snipes. Interestingly, that’s the case despite both of their penalty kill units being among the worst in the NHL.

Just one point distinguishes these two division rivals, where six points separates the Pacific leader (VGK, 64 pts) and sixth place San Jose (58 pts). Expect a wild battle as they all jockey for position to claim the top three spots, plus duel for the Wild Cards.

For a prop bet, I’m going with Kraken forward Jared McCann to light the lamp. He’s second in goal scoring for Seattle (16), but has played 22 fewer games than Jordan Eberle, yet is just four snipes behind him.

McCann has found the back of the net in five of his last seven contests, totaling six goals. In his lone battle vs LA this season, he also tickled the twine, and he has odds longer than the top-three on the board. If you want to get spicy and parlay the Kraken moneyline, plus McCann to snipe, that total pays out a cool +420.
