The Oilers vs Sharks odds are about as close to a pick ’em as you’ll see, with Edmonton (39-29-10) at -110 and San Jose (37-32-7) at -105. The Oilers are on the back end of a back-to-back after a wild 6-5 overtime loss to Utah on Tuesday, and they’re still without Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman.

San Jose has won five of its last six and sits three points back of Nashville for the final Western Conference wild card with two games in hand. Macklin Celebrini hit 107 points Monday, tying Jimmy Carson for the third-most ever by a teenager behind only Gretzky and Crosby.

Best Bet: Over 6.5 Goals (-125 at Fanatics)

I’m taking the over for my Oilers vs Sharks prediction. Edmonton is coming off a 6-5 overtime loss where they scored five goals, and they’re on the back end of a back-to-back against a Sharks team averaging over three goals per game.

Both goalies have been leaky all season. Connor Ingram is at .895 for Edmonton and Alex Nedeljkovic is at .896 for San Jose. Neither team has a defensive identity right now.

The Oilers’ 29.7% power play is a massive problem for a San Jose penalty kill clicking at just 77.7%, and the over has cashed in four of Edmonton’s last five road games.

Both teams bleed goals, with San Jose allowing 3.29 per game and Edmonton close behind at 3.19. Neither penalty kill is above 78%, and both save percentages are in the .877-.882 range.

Edmonton wins the faceoff battle (52.6% to 47.9%) and generates nearly four more shots per game, but that’s going to matter less in a wide-open track meet.

My main Oilers vs Sharks pick is on the over, but the moneyline is also worth a look.

I like San Jose at home on basically even money. The Sharks have won five of their last six and are playing desperate hockey in the NHL playoff picture, while the Oilers are on the back end of a back-to-back and shorthanded up front.

Alexander Wennberg is riding a seven-game point streak with five goals and four assists. Kiefer Sherwood, Will Smith and William Eklund all found the back of the net on Monday against Chicago. San Jose’s lineup is as hot as any in the league right now.

I’ve come up with three Oilers vs Sharks props, including a pair of plus-money point picks and a longshot assist.

Vasily Podkolzin Over 0.5 Points (+113 at DraftKings)

I’m starting my Oilers vs Sharks props with Vasily Podkolzin to land on the scoresheet. He’s registered a point in seven of his last eight road games as a favorite and is perfect in five straight on the back end of a back-to-back.

With Draisaitl and Hyman out, Podkolzin is skating on McDavid’s top line. Plus money on a player getting those minutes is too good to pass up.

Collin Graf Over 0.5 Points (+110 at BetMGM)

Graf has a point in four straight home games and four straight overall. He’s playing on San Jose’s top line alongside Celebrini and Will Smith, which is the hottest unit on the team right now.

Plus money on a player hitting 100% across his last four feels like a mispriced line to me.

William Eklund Over 0.5 Assists (+160 at FanDuel)

Wrapping up my Oilers vs Sharks props, I like William Eklund to pick up a helper. Eklund has an assist in three of his last four and in four of his last five against bottom-10 scoring defenses.

Edmonton’s defense fits that bill at 3.19 goals against per game, and +160 is great value for a top-six playmaker.
