Nashville (34-31-9, 77 points) and Los Angeles (30-26-18, 78 points) are separated by a single point in the NHL Playoff Bracket race, and both have eight games left to make their case.

The Kings beat St. Louis 2-1 in overtime last night, but this is the second half of a back-to-back, and LA has lost seven straight in that spot. Nashville has dropped three in a row.

Puck drop is at 10:30 pm ET from Crypto.com Arena. My Predators vs Kings prediction, player prop bets and NHL betting splits are below.

I’ve got two Predators vs Kings predictions for Thursday: Nashville on the moneyline and the over.

The Preds have earned points in 28 of the last 33 meetings and are 11-2-4 at Crypto.com Arena since 2013-14. LA is playing the second half of a back-to-back and has lost seven straight in that situation, the franchise’s worst skid in 46 years. Plus money on Nashville with a well-rested Saros in net is too much value to pass up.

The over has cashed in 13 of LA’s last 16 home games as a favorite and four of their last five following a win. Nashville hasn’t recorded a shutout in 117 straight games, the longest drought in franchise history.

Kuemper is confirmed for the Kings on the back end of a back-to-back after allowing five goals on 16 shots (.688 SV%) in his last start against Utah. His March wasn’t much better at 2.65 GAA and .891 save percentage (4-2-4). Saros is the likely starter for Nashville with five days of rest and a solid March behind him (2.85 GAA, .907 SV%, 5-3-1).

LA’s penalty kill at 75.1% is a problem against Nashville’s 22.3% power play. Stamkos has 55 career goals in April, fourth all-time, and 21 of those have come on the power play. That special teams mismatch alone should generate extra scoring chances.

The Kings have also earned 18 more points on the road (48) than at home (30) this season, the second-largest differential in NHL history.

Kopitar has recorded a point in six straight home games as a favorite, averaging 1.0 per game. He also owns 30 career assists against Nashville, tied for fifth among active players.

Moore has cleared 2.5 shots in seven of his last eight games against opponents with a losing record, averaging 3.62 per game. Nashville allows 29.31 shots per game, and the near even-money price at -112 is one of the better values on tonight’s board.

Wrapping up my Predators vs Kings player prop bets, I’m going with O’Reilly on the shot volume. He’s cleared 1.5 in seven of his last nine games following a loss, averaging 2.78 per game.

O’Reilly centers Nashville’s top line alongside Stamkos, and he’ll be looking to generate offense against a Kuemper who allowed five goals on 16 shots in his last outing.

The moneyline handle is nearly even at 52.91% Kings and 47.09% Predators, but the ticket count tells a different story. 77.86% of moneyline bets are on LA, meaning the larger wagers are backing Nashville at plus money.

The over is getting crushed with 80.26% of the handle and 82.77% of tickets, which lines up with the Predators vs Kings prediction above. You can track the latest NHL betting splits on our page.

LA’s -120 moneyline carries an implied probability of about 55%, while Nashville at +105 gives the Preds roughly a 49% implied chance. The total sits at 5.5, with the over at -110 and the under at even money.

Both teams are in a dead heat for the final Western Conference wild card spot, so there’s no shortage of motivation on either side. Use the FanDuel promo code to bet on the NHL tonight.
