It’s Saturday night and the NHL odds are presenting some matchups with intriguing histories.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Ottawa Senators both entered the NHL as expansion franchises in 1992. They’ve taken divergent paths since then. While Ottawa currently resides at the bottom of the league, Tampa Bay has won the last two Stanley Cups.
Likewise, the Edmonton Oilers and Carolina Hurricanes (as the Hartford Whalers) wound up entering the NHL in 1979 as the league absorbed four teams from the defunct WHA.

Anton Forsberg, 3-0 with a .913 save percentage in his last three starts, is expecting to get the nod in goal for the Sens. Friday saw Ottawa placing veteran defenseman Michael Del Zotto on waivers.

Hurricanes vs Oilers Pick and Prediction on Saturday

Carolina has won three of four games from the Oilers. The Hurricanes have also taken three successive decisions at Edmonton.
