Day 7 of the Milano Cortina Games is the most loaded betting card we’ve seen so far. Seven gold medals, six hockey games, and Ilia Malinin’s coronation in figure skating all hit Friday. The action starts before sunrise on the East Coast and runs deep into the afternoon.
Here’s the full schedule, updated odds, and where I’m putting my money.

Full Olympic Schedule for February 13
All times Eastern. Medal events are bolded.
Friday, February 13 Schedule
Coverage streams live on Peacock throughout the day. USA Network picks up the women’s hockey quarterfinal between the U.S. and Italy at 3:10 PM ET, and NBC carries primetime coverage of the figure skating free skate and snowboard halfpipe final.
Men’s Hockey Odds
Four men’s prelim games hit the board Friday. Finland vs Sweden is the headliner, but there’s betting value across all four matchups. Odds via the NHL betting apps at FanDuel.
Sweden vs Finland Odds (6:10 AM ET)
Sweden vs Finland Olympic Hockey Preview
Finland’s 4-1 loss to Slovakia in the opener was misleading. The Finns outshot Slovakia 40-25 and controlled the game for long stretches. Juuse Saros posted an .875 save percentage, and Samuel Hlavaj stood on his head with 39 saves. That kind of goaltending performance doesn’t repeat.
Finland may turn to Joonas Korpisalo between the pipes, and the roster is still loaded despite losing Aleksander Barkov to an ACL tear. Mikko Rantanen is top-10 in the NHL with 69 points this season but logged only 15:25 of ice time in the opener. Expect a massive correction there. Miro Heiskanen has 46 points in 55 games for Dallas.
Sweden looked every bit the part in a 5-2 demolition of Italy, outshooting the hosts 60-22. William Nylander and Rasmus Dahlin powered the attack. This is the game to watch Friday morning.
The rivalry angle matters too. At the 4 Nations Face-Off, Finland beat Sweden 4-3 in overtime. These teams always play tight. Finland +1.5 (-170) is my best bet Friday.
Slovakia vs Italy Odds (6:10 AM ET)
Slovakia vs Italy Betting Analysis
The total is the play in the other Group B game. Italy’s goaltenders posted a .932 save percentage against Sweden and still allowed five goals. Slovakia scored four on Finland’s Saros. Hlavaj owns subpar AHL numbers and is unlikely to sustain his opener.
There’s a critical injury angle: Italy goaltender Damiano Clara is questionable with a lower-body injury suffered in the third period against Sweden, where he’d already made 55 saves. If backup Davide Fadani starts, this total climbs.
Slovakia has Juraj Slafkovsky, the 2022 Olympic MVP and No. 1 overall pick, who torched Finland for 2 goals and an assist. The recipe is there for 6-plus goals. Over 5.5 (-138) is the play.
Czechia vs France Odds (10:40 AM ET)
Canada vs Switzerland Odds (3:10 PM ET)
Canada crushed Czechia 5-0 behind Connor McDavid’s 3-assist night and a Jordan Binnington shutout. Switzerland responded with a 4-0 blanking of France, where Timo Meier scored twice and Leonardo Genoni stopped all 27 shots. The Swiss are a real team, but Canada’s depth is suffocating.
Women’s Hockey Quarterfinals
Czechia vs Sweden Odds (10:40 AM ET)
USA vs Italy Odds (3:10 PM ET)
USA vs Italy Women’s Hockey Preview
Team USA vs Italy might be the most lopsided matchup of these Games. The Americans went 4-0 in group play, outscoring opponents 20-1, including a historic 5-0 shutout of Canada — the Canadians’ first shutout loss in 41 Olympic games.
Caroline Harvey leads the tournament with 7 points, and Alex Carpenter has scored in every game. The -30000 moneyline tells you everything you need to know.
Medal Event Odds
Men’s Biathlon 10km Sprint Odds (8:00 AM ET)
Men’s Biathlon 10km Sprint Pick
The most open gold-medal race on the board. Three co-favorites, all at +430 or shorter. Giacomel leads the sprint-specific World Cup standings, which is the exact discipline being contested Friday. He won the sprint and pursuit in Oberhof this season and beat Perrot by four seconds in the sprint at Hochfilzen.
He’s also racing on home soil at Anterselva, in front of his own fans. Botn already won gold earlier this week, but the sprint rewards pure speed more than the 20km does. Giacomel at +330 is my pick.
Women’s Snowboard Cross Odds (8:46 AM ET)
Women’s Snowboard Cross Pick
Friday’s chaos event. Four riders per heat, top two advance, crashes everywhere. Bankes is the two-time World Cup champ looking to avenge a quarterfinal exit from Beijing. Moioli is the 2018 Olympic gold medalist racing on home snow in Livigno. Defending champion Lindsey Jacobellis retired, so the field is wide open.
Bankes is the deserving favorite, but Moioli at +260 is a pure value play in a high-variance event. She has 20-plus World Cup podiums and championship pedigree.
Men’s Speed Skating 10,000m Odds (10:00 AM ET)
Ghiotto is a slight favorite racing in front of his home crowd. Jilek is right there at +125. This one’s tight at the top.
Men’s Figure Skating Free Skate (12:45 PM ET)
Ilia Malinin is the closest thing to a sure bet in these Olympics. The “Quad God” leads by 5.09 points after a 108.16 short program and is unbeaten in 15 consecutive competitions over two-plus years.
He’s listed between -5000 and -10000 depending on the book. There’s zero betting value on the outright, but he’s a strong parlay anchor. Yuma Kagiyama (JPN) sits second and Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA) third, both chasing silver.
Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe Odds (1:30 PM ET)
Scotty James topped qualifying with a 94.00, nearly three points clear of second. The five-time consecutive X Games champion is 31 years old and chasing the one medal missing from his résumé — Olympic gold. He has bronze from 2018 and silver from 2022.
Defending champion Ayumu Hirano qualified seventh at 85.50 and is dealing with fitness concerns after a heavy crash at the Laax Open in January.
The dark horse: Alessandro Barbieri, a 17-year-old American with Italian heritage, qualified fourth at 88.50. Shaun White attended qualifying and singled Barbieri out as the young rider who could challenge the top two.
Men’s Skeleton Odds (1:30 PM / 3:05 PM ET)
Weston leads by 0.30 seconds heading into the final two runs after setting a track record of 55.88 in Run 2. Jungk (+0.30) and defending champion Grotheer (+0.46) are the main threats, but Weston looks locked in at -700.
Best Bets Summary
Futures Worth Watching
I still like Sweden at +650 for men’s hockey gold. Victor Hedman captains a blueline that includes three-time Norris winner Erik Karlsson, Rasmus Dahlin, and Cup champion Gustav Forsling. Filip Gustavsson has posted a 2.48 GAA and .912 save percentage this season.
One hot goalie can win you gold in this format. The market has Sweden as a distant third. I think the gap is much smaller than +650 implies.
Norway continues to run away with the overall medal count. If Klæbo wins the 10km free and the biathlon sprint goes Norway’s way, the golds race is effectively over. For the latest best sportsbook promos available, check out the DraftKings promo code and FanDuel promo code pages.
