Driver Odds

Joey Logano +800
Chase Elliott +1000

Kyle Busch +1000
Ryan Blaney +1000
Kevin Harvick +1200
Kurt Busch +1400
Martin Truex Jr. +1400
Alex Bowman +1800
Aric Almirola +1800

Odds taken Feb. 5.

Logano a Good Bet

One of the best drivers at Daytona International Speedway is Joey Logano. In 22 races at the track, he’s posted a 12.66 average driver finish, which is pretty strong. Furthermore, he has been in the Top 4 in two of his last four starts here, including last year’s fourth at the Daytona 500.

The challenge is that this is an exhibition race and that makes him harder to trust because this one is not for all of the marbles; the Daytona 500 will be. At the same time, Logano has placed third, second and first at this exhibition in the last three years.

Keselowski Looking to Capitalize

While there isn’t much value betting on Keselowski, it’s impossible to overlook him completely heading into this race. Keselowski, who had his ups and downs last season, earned his first Clash win back in 2018. His average finish here is the best among any driver that has competed in this event at least five times.

Can Johnson Win Again?

The NASCAR racing legend is coming off a season to forget. However, he did win this race a year ago, which makes this the perfect starting point for a driver that is seeking redemption in a major way.

Johnson has driven this track countless times before and he knows what to expect. That is one reason why he was able to hold off Paul Menard when contact was made in last year’s race and take the lead just as the rest of the field was frozen.

He’s a long shot but it’s the start of his final season. Maybe he does the same as he did last year and starts it off with a win. Even for a flier, it’s probably safer to bet him for a Top 10 prop.

Driver to Avoid: Kyle Busch

Listed among the favorites to win this race, Busch enters this season as the reigning and defending Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion. It’s no secret that he will be looking to set the tone for a new year with a strong performance in his debut race.

The challenge is that he doesn’t perform well at Daytona. He has just one win at this track in 29 career outings. That win came all the way back in 2008, so it’s been a really long time. He has just five Top 10’s in his last 21 races here, so avoid him this week.
