Formula 1 returns to Spa-Francorchamps this Sunday, July 27th, with the Belgian Grand Prix. The green flag drops at 9:00 am ET, with live coverage via ESPN.
Spa is a massive 4.352-mile circuit that’s been hosting F1 since 1950. Rain is in the forecast, and Pirelli’s tire strategy adds another layer of unpredictability. This one could get wild at a legendary track.
Let’s dive into the best F1 picks for round 13 of the 2025 championship.

Belgian Grand Prix Picks
The weather’s going to throw a wrench into everyone’s plans with rain expected throughout the weekend. Verstappen won the sprint, but his setup tweaks for qualifying could bite him if it gets wet.
BetMGM’s loaded with prop betting options for this race. I’ve found several with solid value based on driver form, track history, and what Mother Nature might serve up.
2025 Belgian Grand Prix Race Winner Prediction
Oscar Piastri at +150 is where I’m putting my money. And before you think I’m crazy backing the guy starting second behind his teammate, hear me out.
Spa’s one of the few tracks where pole position isn’t everything. That short run to La Source followed by the massive Kemmel Straight? It’s perfect for slipstream passes. Piastri only needs to nail the start, and he’ll have DRS down the straight into Les Combes.
Here’s what matters: if Piastri gets past Norris early, he’ll likely get pit priority. That’s huge at Spa, where track position counts. The Aussie’s already got five wins this season and leads the championship. He finished second here last year and knows exactly what it takes.
Verstappen made setup changes before qualifying, adding downforce for potential rain conditions. Smart thinking for wet weather, but it hurt his straight-line speed. Meanwhile, Piastri’s running a balanced setup that should work regardless of conditions.
At +150, Pistari to win the Belgian Grand Prix is excellent value.
- 2025 Belgian GP Prediction to Win: Oscar Piastri (+150 at BetMGM)
2025 Belgian Grand Prix Points Finish Odds
Bet Bearman for Points Finish
Oliver Bearman at +200 to score points? That’s a bet I’ll gladly make any day. The rookie sensation finished seventh in Saturday’s sprint race, proving that Haas has genuine pace around this circuit.
Sure, the kid qualified 12th for the main race. But Bearman’s running a high-downforce setup that’ll come alive if rain hits. Ocon, his partner, has been on fire lately, getting points in several races. The Haas definitely works at Spa.
Rain tends to shake things up, and Bearman’s already shown he can take advantage when chaos strikes. He’s young, fast, and flying under the radar, exactly the kind of value you look for in a points finish bet. At 2-to-1 odds, the value for Bearman to get points is too good to pass up.
- 2025 Belgian Grand Prix Points Finish: Oliver Bearman (+200 at Caesars)

Belgian GP: Podium Props
Best F1 Belgian GP Safe Pick
Betting Max Verstappen to finish on the podium at -175 is the boring safe bet for Sunday. Look, Red Bull’s not the fastest car anymore. We all know that. But this is still Max Verstappen at Spa-Francorchamps.
The three-time champion won here from 2021 through 2023. He just dominated Saturday’s sprint race, showing he still has the pace when it counts. Starting fourth isn’t perfect, but it’s Max. He’ll find a way.
His high-downforce setup might cost him on the straights, but if rain arrives? That’s when the three-time champion shows his best stuff. Verstappen in wet conditions at a power track is something special. Sometimes the obvious bet is obvious for a reason.
- 2025 Belgian GP Podium Pick: Max Verstappen Podium Finish (-175 at BetMGM)

Belgian GP: Race Props & Specials
Sprinkle on These F1 Props
Pierre Gasly at +185 to finish in the top 10 is worth a look. He’s a Spa veteran with five top-10s in seven starts here. Alpine’s been struggling, sure. But Gasly’s a proven rain specialist who knows how to score when chaos strikes.
Starting 13th isn’t great, but it’s not terrible either. One safety car, a couple retirements, and suddenly he’s knocking on the door of the points.
The three different constructors on podium at +110 is also worth playing. If rain mixes things up or strategy calls go wrong for McLaren, we could easily see something like Norris-Verstappen-Leclerc or Piastri-Verstappen-Russell.
2025 Belgian GP Prop Bets:
- Pierre Gasly Top 10 Finish (+185)
- Three different constructors on podium (+110)
