F1 Picks & Odds: 2025 Brazilian GP Predictions & Start Time

- Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix takes place this Sunday from the legendary Interlagos circuit
- Lando Norris secured pole position with Kimi Antonelli joining him on the front row for Mercedes
- Below, see my F1 picks & odds for the 2025 Brazilian GP predictions & start time updates
The NASCAR Cup season might be over, but don’t worry, I’m not in the unemployment line yet. Formula 1 is in São Paulo this weekend for the sometimes wet, always dramatic Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.
And boy, have we seen just about everything so far. Gabriel Bortoleto decided gravity was optional, going airborne before a 57g reminder that physics still works. Oscar Piastri, who came in with a shot at keeping the Driver’s Championship interesting, stuffed his McLaren into the barriers during the Sprint Race on Saturday. Oh, and Max Verstappen? He didn’t even make it out of Q1…on pace. Chaos doesn’t begin to cover it.
Through it all, though, one thing has actually made sense: Lando Norris. You can hang your bucket hat on this guy right now. He turned the Mexican Grand Prix into a snoozefest by winning it by roughly how long it takes to microwave leftover Chinese food (about 30 seconds). Then he went ahead and won the Sprint this weekend, followed by sticking his McLaren on pole for good measure.
Kimi Antonelli gave Mercedes fans something to tweet about, snagging P2 in qualifying, while Charles Leclerc rolled in third…thrilling the 19-to-82-year-old-women demographic that has kept Ferrari merch sales afloat since 2019.
A nasty storm system is expected to hit São Paulo Sunday morning, pushing the Grand Prix start time back to noon Eastern. That’s when it’s lights out and away we go, live on ESPN…assuming you can actually watch it. ESPN is embroiled in a contract dispute, so your TV may display an error message instead of cars. Don’t worry, though. Even if the screen’s black, we can still cash tickets.

SPORTSBOOK
Lando Norris is the sportsbooks’ darling at –450, which implies a 69.2% chance to win — absurdly high for a sport where it sometimes rains sideways. His teammate Oscar Piastri starts fourth and is listed at +600, implying a 14.3% shot at victory. Right behind them on the odds board, young Kimi Antonelli, who is starting on the outside of the front row, is priced at +700, giving him an implied win probability of 12.5%.
Writer’s note: Please don’t bet Lando to win.
Oh wait — this is my article. It’s all a writer’s note.
Right. Don’t bet Lando to win.
2025 Brazilian GP Predictions
The Interlagos Circuit measures 4.309 kilometers and features 15 turns along with two DRS zones. For a change, overtaking isn’t a problem here — drivers can actually pass without invoking divine intervention. The weather, however, is its own character. Conditions can flip faster than a Ferrari strategy call. We’re expecting a dry race with cool, overcast skies.
“Expecting.”
Anyay, Bet365 are the only souls mad enough to post a full board tonight for F1 picks & odds, so of course we’re tearing it apart. More outs will populate tomorrow at other books, so shop around. Find the juiciest numbers and maybe make the sportsbooks cry a little.
Here’s a five-pack of matchup plays that are begging to fatten your wallet while making you look like a genius in front of your coworkers on Monday morning. Some have commentary, some don’t — the mystery is half the fun, and let’s be honest, that’s way more entertaining than certainty. Think of it as a starter set for Sunday shenanigans…we’re getting you ready for Scott Hansen and the afternoon NFL slate.
- Kimi Antonelli over Oscar Piastri (+150)
- Antonelli starts second in the Mercedes, with Leclerc third and Piastri fourth. On paper, Piastri might look like the guy to beat in this matchup, but paper doesn’t account for the occasional existential meltdown of Ferrari strategy, amiright? Antonelli was arguably the quickest car during the Sprint Race, pushing Lando Norris’s McLaren to its limits. If the start goes clean — a laughable notion, but let’s pretend — Leclerc becomes the human traffic cone Piastri never asked for. He’ll slow the championship contender just enough to let Antonelli slip away like a phantom into the overcast Brazilian sky. And don’t forget: the Mercedes wagons love these cool, gray conditions. In other words, it’s the perfect storm for Antonelli to get us to the pay window.
- Max Verstappen over Isack Hadjar (‑138)
- Verstappen looked like he was dragging his Red Bull through peanut butter during qualifying this afternoon. But our @SpeedwaySteve2 deep insiders are whispering sweet secrets: Max will be waking up to a brand-new power unit and a completely revamped Red Bull chassis. Sure, there’s a grid penalty coming, but that’s like getting sentenced to 12 minutes of community service after robbing Fort Knox. His race pace should be back to nearly terrifying levels. Meanwhile, the algorithm spits out a 9.6 finishing position for Hadjar…so can Max recover from a pit-lane start to score points? Bet365 has that priced at –900. Our answer: yes, emphatically yes.
- Lewis Hamilton over Isack Hadjar (+120)
- Nico Hülkenberg over Pierre Gasly (‑120)
- Alex Albon over Pierre Gasly (+125)
- Handicapping these two is easy. Albon is projected to finish 12.4, Hulkenberg 13.2, and Gasly 14.9. We don’t trust Alpine’s race pace, nor a guy who’s been struggling to beat something named Franco Colapinto.
