Imola (Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari) is a 3.05-mile track. This course has 19 turns. Simply put, aggression benefits the smart driver who pounces early on turns and final corners. Max Verstappen thought he had the pole, but Oscar Piastri had other things to say.

Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Picks

People should expect mostly sunny weather around the time of the race. Temperatures close to 70 degrees should greet the racers in the early afternoon over in Italy. Course knowledge tilts slightly to Max Verstappen and Red Bull. However, Oscar Piastri has shown late practice speed and was able to steal that pole. Late sectors helped Piastri turn a P2 into a P1. If he finds more of that late speed during the race, Verstappen and even Lando Norris might not be able to keep up.

This track helped McLaren in practice, but particularly in qualifying. However, there was one team that did themselves no favors in the Q2, and that was Ferrari. Yes, both Ferrari drivers missed out on the Top 10 as Charles Leclerc will start 11th with Lewis Hamilton beginning the Imola race from the 12th position.

The Ferrari camp struggled again which makes even a Top 4 difficult for either driver. Charles Leclerc could be the driver who makes a charge,as he has done in Italy in the past. Bettors have to understand that Max Verstappen has won this race three times. If anyone can pull this off, it is him. However, the Red Bull driver has struggled this season from the 2 hole at times. Getting to Turn 1 used to be a consistent strength for several drivers, but not so anymore for most teams not from McLaren.

Sunday could see a podium double for McLaren if Verstappen should falter in any way. It would not take much, given how close Norris and Verstappen were in the practice and qualifying sessions.

The likelihood of mistakes and crashes feels lower than normal. If Piastri gets to turn one in first, this race could be over before it even starts. A dry track here really rewards positioning more than anything else.

Miami allowed the possibility of a 1-2, but will Verstappen be able to hold off Norris. That is the big question here. I believe a bet here may be more beneficial during the live betting portion of the race.

With 63 laps and plenty of strategy, I believe the race should stay close enough under 6 seconds (Even). If someone wants to go a little bit longer in the odds, I suggest checking out the Piastri fastest lap and win double at +150. It is the only way to get plus money for the young driver.
