  • Read on for all British Grand Prix odds, picks, and predictions ahead of Sunday morning’s race at Silverstone Circuit

Max Verstappen looks to set another personal best with a sixth straight victory as the scene shifts to Silverstone for Sunday’s running of the 2023 British Grand Prix. Verstappen extended his dominance of this year’s Formula 1 circuit with another clean sweep last week in Austria, and now enjoys a massive 81-point lead atop the Drivers Standings. However, the two-time defending champion returns to England searching for his first ever win in the British Grand Prix.

Here’s a look at all the odds and trends ahead of the 2023 British Grand Prix on Sunday morning, with race time set for 10:00am ET at Silverstone Circuit.

Perez Hampered by Qualifying Woes

For the fourth time in as many races, Sergio Perez failed to advance to the third round of qualifying at last weekend’s Austria Grand Prix. But while his qualifying struggles have taken him out of the hunt for the top of the standings, Perez has remained resilient on race day, finishing among the top six in each of his past three outings including a return to the podium with last week’s drive to third place after starting 15th on the grid.

Perez should not be underestimated this weekend considering his success at this event last season. After years of failure at Silverstone, Perez qualified fourth and finished second a year ago, and given his ability to bounce back from his recent adversity, Checo is worthy of a value wager as a -165 bet to claim his sixth podium spot this season.

Leclerc Poised to Take Next Step at Silverstone

It has been a long difficult season for Ferrari, which has tumbled to fourth place in the Constructors Standings due to a combination of questionable decisions, technical failures, and occasional bad driving. However, with upgrades in place, Charles Leclerc has shown signs of a turnaround with back-to-back top four finishes including a second-place run last weekend.

Barring disaster befalling Max Verstappen, it is tough to back Ferrari returning to the top of the podium. However, given his track record at Silverstone, where he has finished among the top four in four straight appearances, Leclerc should be on every sports bettor’s ticket as a -105 bet to reach the podium, and as a +1000 dark horse to record the fastest lap.

Norris, Hamilton, Russell Enjoy Homecoming

This weekend marks a homecoming for British drivers Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell. Norris is coming off his best performance of the season with a fourth-place finish last week in Austria, and offers excellent value as a +175 bet to finish top six in the race for a fourth straight year.

Both Russell and Hamilton are coming off a disappointing weekend in Austria, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Given his past dominance at Silverstone and recent steady improvement before last week’s setback, Hamilton could once again be in the mix for a podium spot. However, Russell’s recent uneven results make Mercedes a risky -175 bet to produce a double top six finish.

The Picks: Sergio Perez podium finish (-165); Lando Norris top six (+175); Charles Leclerc podium finish (-105)
