Michigan can get crazy sometimes. If Chris Buescher can avoid the wrecks, he could be an excellent bet to win this year's Firekeepers Casino 400.

  • NASCAR Firekeepers 400 takes place this Sunday from the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI
  • Chase Briscoe won the pole, but Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin are co-favorites.
  • Below, see my NASCAR Firekeepers 400 odds, predictions, and best bets from Michigan.

The NASCAR Cup Series rumbles into Michigan for the fifteenth points event this Sunday, June 8th, at the Firekeepers 400. The green flag drops just after 2:00 pm ET, with live coverage once more on Amazon Prime Video. In-car cams, multi-views, and driver garages are on MAX.

Michigan International Speedway is a 2-mile D-shaped oval track where things happen faster than at a typical superspeedway. The race can range from 2 3/4 to 3 hours long. The stage setup is 45-75-80. It is the type of race that has quite a history. A driver can steal a race out of nowhere. Last year, Denny Hamlin took the pole. Kyle Larson led the most laps, but ultimately, Tyler Reddick led the final laps on Monday as he won the race.

The table below lists the Firekeepers Casino 400 odds (winner, top three, and top five) for the favorites and a few racers who could figure into the checkered flag mix. Further down in the article, I have listed some of my Firekeepers Casino 400 predictions and top picks. Do not forget that we may have a few more bets toward the end.

NASCAR Firekeepers Casino 400 Predictions

The weather could be a little wet early on Sunday. The weather forecast calls for Mostly Cloudy skies on Sunday afternoon. Race conditions should be pretty good with temperatures expected to be around 75 degrees.

Qualifying saw Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch turn in some outstanding laps, only to see Chase Briscoe do it one more time and snag the pole. There were some surprising results. Tyler Reddick had a flat tire but will start 12th on Sunday. Likely, he could have easily qualified inside the Top 10.

This Spring race was the Kevin Harvick show from 2018 – 2022. He won this version of the race four times and could have been a fifth. Now, drivers like Tyler Reddick, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Larson could win this race.

One wildcard is Chris Buescher, who won this race two years ago. Buescher qualified sixth, just 0.082 seconds off Briscoe’s time.

The track features 18-degree banked turns. The frontstretch (12 degrees) and backstretch (5 degrees) jack up the pitch and accelerate the cars. Thankfully, this race will get in all 200 laps or more on Sunday. 2023 and 2024 saw the event end on Monday.

Last week, Ryan Blaney took everyone to school late to be the third Team Penske driver to make the playoffs. One of the best drivers not to win this year yet is Tyler Reddick. Denny Hamlin is -160 to finish inside the Top 5 and has done so three straight years. That is one wager.

Now. Reddick and Hamlin are solid choices, but RFK Racing has been good here for the past few spring races. Let’s try Chris Buescher one more time here.

Additional Firekeepers Casino 400 Best Bets

Again, I like getting bold, and thanks to Caesars, we get a look at some unique ways to make some bets on Sunday afternoon. More than likely, the winner of this race comes from a grid position of five or greater (-145).

One can bet from lead change to speed props. There is a considerable range for this Michigan race. The over of 7.5 cautions backed up to -115. There were nine in 2023 and seven in 2024. With a hedge toward overtime (+150), let us take the over here.

Finally, do keep an eye on Kyle Busch. Busch qualified second and has a chance to stay in contention throughout (+1800 to win).

Good luck and let’s ride!
