Germany heads into Bundesliga Week 13 with Bayer Leverkusen in first place ahead of reigning champions Bayern Munich.

Pick 1: Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich

Unbeaten Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen meet second-placed Bayern Munich in Germany’s mouth-watering clash of the weekend on Saturday.

After eight wins and four draws in their 12 fixtures so far, Leverkusen are in first place for the first time since the 2009/10 season.

They have 28 points – one ahead of Munich who have won eight times, drawn three times and suffered one shock 4-1 defeat against Hoffenheim in September.

Despite Leverkusen’s lead in the standings, they are surprisingly rated as wide outsiders by DraftKings at +310 which makes it an inviting offer on Bundesliga Week 13.

Leverkusen underlined their current buoyant mood with a 4-0 win at struggling FC Koln in midweek.

Munich are priced at +132 with the draw also a decent prospect at +300 at 12:30 pm ET on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bayern were 2-1 winners at home against Wolfsburg.

Polish super-striker Robert Lewandowski scored twice in Bayern’s win to take his tally for the season to an astonishing 15 goals in 11 appearances.

This stunning form helps explain why Bayern are favorites this weekend. But it also means the better value lies with Leverkusen.

They have helped make Leverkusen the competition’s second-leading scorers with 27 goals.

Bayern have hit 37 goals. But a free-scoring spell in October has now dried up.

Defensively, Leverkusen have conceded only 10 times while Bayern have let in an uncharacteristic 18 goals.

The teams last met in Bayern’s 4-2 win in the final of the DFB Pokal Cup in July when Lewandowski scored twice.

Pick 2: Borussia Monchengladbach vs Hoffenheim

Borussia Monchengladbach are free of European distractions after qualifying for the Champions League’s last 16 and could now resume their best domestic form.

After drawing their last three Bundesliga games, they will be seeking a win at home against Hoffenheim to re-establish contact with the table’s leading pack.

Hoffenheim have lost their last two fixtures.

This makes Monchegladbach favorites for a win at -117 with Hoffenheim at +265.

The draw at 9:30 pm ET on Saturday in Bundesliga Week 13 is priced at an intriguing +310.

In eighth place, Monchengladbach are unbeaten in five league outings but have drawn four times.

But the best value is in supporting Monchengladbach to re-establish their Bundesliga credentials and win by two goals or more (Asian Handicap -1.25 +185).

Hoffenheim are in 13^th place. They have not kept a clean sheet in their 13 previous away games.

In midweek, Moenchengladbach were involved in a remarkable high-scoring 3-3 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt.

After trailing 3-1 at half-time, Monchengladbach midfielder Lars Stindl completed a hat-trick with goals in the 90^th and 95^th minutes.

Hoffenheim’s second straight defeat came when they were beaten 1-0 at home by high-flyers Red Bull Leipzig on Wednesday.

With 23 goals scored, Monchengladbach are competent in going forward. But they have conceded 20 times.

Hoffenheim have scored 19 times but conceded 22 goals.

There was a 1-1 draw in Monchengladbach when these teams last met in February.

Pick 3: Schalke 04 vs Arminia Bielefeld

Bottom club Schalke 04 host 16^th-placed Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday with the fact that both teams are struggling offering some value options.

Schalke have yet to win this season while newly-promoted Arminia Bielefeld have only two victories to their name.

With the desperation of both teams in mind, the draw looks a good-priced prospect here at +240 with DraftKings

A win for Schalke is rated at a surprising +125 making Arminia Bielefeld the outsiders at +215. Kick-off is at 9:30 am ET on Saturday in Bundesliga Week 13.

Although Schalke have yet to win, they have managed four draws in their 12 fixtures which suggest they could gain a point here.

Arminia have lost their last two games; going down 1-0 at home against Augsburg in the most recent fixture on Wednesday.

These sides have not met in the Bundesliga since 2009.

There was a 3-2 win for Schalke when they collided in the DFB Pokal Cup in October last year.
