Croatia and Belgium meet on Thursday evening as Group F reaches a thrilling conclusion.

A 4-1 thrashing of Canada last weekend sees Croatia top of the group, and a draw will be enough to see them qualify for the Round of 16.

Croatia vs Belgium Prediction

Belgium, meanwhile, were stunned 2-0 by Morocco, and this is a must-win game for them if they are going to continue their World Cup adventure.

Roberto Martinez has some big selection decisions to make, including whether to start Romelu Lukaku, who came on for the last 10 minutes against Morocco. However, Amadou Onana will play no part as he is sitting out the game through suspension for the yellow he picked up against the Atlas Lions.

The scene is set for what appears to be a devilishly poised encounter, but how will this one pan out?

To aid you, we have rummaged through the markets and picked out a couple of tantalizing tips for you to tuck into.

End of the Road for Belgium

For the past few years, we have been accustomed to seeing Belgium labeled as the ‘Golden Generation’. But if anything, this side looks more like the ‘Geriatric Generation’, and they have been underwhelming.

Against Morocco, they turned in another listless display, and they lacked any pace or fluidity in attack. In their opening two matches, Belgium managed just 26 touches in the opposition box, a third less than France’s total (78), and their completed passes in the final third of the pitch stood at a mere 12.5%, which is well below Spain (21.5%) and Brazil (26.4%).

Croatia, meanwhile, let their experience count against Canada, and Mateo Kovacic led the way by teeing up four of his side’s first 10 chances, and in the first hour of the game, he completed all his passes in the final third.

Interestingly, Croatia has conceded first in five of their past six World Cup matches, but they have come back to win two of the last three, so they know how to dig deep.

This match could well contain a few goals, but this could be the end of the road for Belgium. I am leaning towards Croatia to win and BTTS, which is trading at 9/2 at online sportsbooks.

Andrej Kramaric to Score Odds

While there are a few potential matchwinners in this Croatia side, Andrej Kramaric has been in a bit of a purple patch recently.

He has scored three goals in his last three international appearances, and against Canada, he converted two of his three attempts on goal.

Belgium could struggle to contain Kramaric, who is tireless with his work rate, and he may fashion an opportunity or two.

I’m liking the look of the goalscorer markets, and given the form Kramaric is in, he appears to be a worthy 13/2 shot to snaffle the match-winning last goal.
