How to Watch FC Dallas vs Inter Miami

Viewers can watch the FC Dallas vs Inter Miami Leagues Cup clash on Apple TV  in the US and Apple TV+ in Canada at 08:00 pm ET on Sunday evening.

FC Dallas Under the Radar

With the Lionel Messi show rolling into town, Dallas has hardly been mentioned in relation to this game but going under the radar may suit them, and they will fancy their chances of making it to the last eight. Taking the Messi factor out of the equation, FC has had a far better season so far than Miami.

Their domestic season has been a decent one so far compared to Miami’s – they are currently on course to make it into the playoffs – albeit it is worth noting that in the MLS they have only won twice in their last 11.

Dallas Unbeaten Against Miami

Dallas’s Leagues Cup campaign has been a slow-burner and in their opener against Charlotte FC, they lost via a penalty shoot-out after drawing the game 1-1. A defeat in game 2 would have signaled the end of their tournament but they bounced back well, beating Necaxa from Mexico’s Liga MX 3-0 to make it to the knockout phase.

In the round-of-32 they again came up against Mexican opposition in the form of Mazatlan, and again the Texans produced a high-level excellent performance to win 2-1, which was clinched by Eugene Ansah.

In the three previous meetings between these two teams, Dallas is unbeaten – winning twice and one draw.

Messi Transforms the Miami Mood

Prior to Messi’s arrival, season 2023 had been a miserable one for Inter Miami, who sit bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference with a losing record and a big negative goal difference.

Coach Phil Neville was sacked in June after a run of four straight defeats and was replaced by Argentinian, Gerardo Martino, who was soon followed through the door by arguably the greatest player ever to have played soccer. In just three games, Messi has not only transformed Inter’s form but also the mood around the club.

Miami Save Best For for Leagues Cup

Three wins in three games is a better start than even Messi and owner Miami owner David Beckham could have dreamed of, and have been helped by the fact the Argentinian has gone straight into the Leagues Cup competition rather than the MLS where inter have struggled.

In his three games, Messi has scored five goals and provided one assist, starting in his debut game against Cruz Azul, which they won 2-1. This was followed up with a 4-0 thrashing of the MLS’s Atlanta United – Messi scoring twice – and then a fine 3-1 win over fellow Floridians, Orlando City in the round-of-32.

FC Dallas vs Inter Miami Prediction

Despite this fixture being dominated by Messi’s arrival in Texas, this will be close as the odds suggest. Much will, of course, depend on how Dallas are able to contain the Argentinian but if they can stop him from dominating proceedings then there is something in this game for Dallas.

At +210, the value here is with the home win.
