On the eve of the new Bundesliga season, a series of props has been released, and we’ll be looking at one that gives bettors an ‘assist over/under’ option for three of the most creative and inventive players in the German league.
Total Assists 2019/20 – Jadon Sancho Odds
Assist Total 2019/20 | 2018/19 Assists | Â Over Odds | Â Under Odds |
---|---|---|---|
8.5 | 14 | -125 | -105 |
*All odds taken 08/12/19
The English youngster was at the heart of much of the good stuff at BVB last season and in his 34 league games, Sancho had 41 shots, scored 12 goals and contributed no fewer than 14 assists.

In a squad that’s already jam-packed with creativity, Sancho stood out with his ability to dribble, his electric pace and his knack of picking a pass with a successful pass rate of 85.5-percent. As a result, aged just 19-years-of-age, he is already an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Under the tutelage of coach Lucien Favre, he’s become a BVB regular and started 26 of their 34 games last season and was on the bench of the other eight. A similar amount of game time will surely see him smash the nine assist total.
Our pick: Sancho to contribute more than 9 assists (Over -125)
Total Assists 2019/20 – Marco Reus Odds
Assist Total 2019/20 | 2018/19 Assists | Â Over Odds | Â Under Odds |
---|---|---|---|
7.5 | 8 | -105 | -125 |
Reus scored 17 goals last season in his 27 appearances and had the phenomenal shot count of 70. And while that may not seem like a great shot/goal ratio, equally significant is that he also contributed eight assists to Dortmund’s total.
Given that we think Dortmund can push Bayern all the way this season, we think Reus can have a really prosperous campaign and as well as bettering last season’s total of 17 goals, we feel sure he will improve upon last season’s tally of eight assists.

The arrival of Hazard will enhance their invention and creativity, and will generally make them an even more cohesive unit. Whether that means Reus gets on the receiving end of more goalscoring chances or if it means he’ll be involved in more assists remains to be seen, but either way we expect him to be in double figures for assists.
Our pick: Reus to provide 8 assists or more (Over -105)
Total Assists 2019/20 – Thorgan Hazard Odds
Assist Total 2019/20 | Â 2018/19 Assists | Â Over Odds | Â Under Odds |
---|---|---|---|
23.5 | 22 | -125 | -105 |
Hazard’s move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Dortmund over the summer has added creativity galore to an already inventive midfield.
In his 33 Bundesliga appearances for Monchengladbach, Hazard chipped in with ten assists to go with the ten goals he scored and had a staggering 77 shots. He’s the type of player who will thrive at Dortmund if given sufficient game time and, ironically, it’s with the likes of Sancho and Reus who Favre wants him to link up with.

The three of them together, if they are able to successfully dovetail, could form a creative hub in that Dortmund midfield, which will benefit all three.
In theory, Hazard should contribute more by way of assists this season in a better team, but equally, with creative players around him, there is less reliance on him to deliver those killer passes. And it’s for that reason, we think he may come in around the 20 mark.
Our pick: Hazard to contribute 23 or fewer assists (Under -105)
