  • Inter Miami and Brazilian side Palmeiras meet in the final Group A matchday at the FIFA Club World Cup on Monday
  • Both sides will progress with a draw, so there’s not much incentive to push for offense
  • See my best Inter Miami vs Palmeiras picks and predictions, along with where to find the best odds

Both Inter Miami (1-1-0, 4 points, +1 GD) and Palmeiras (1-1-0, 4 points, +2 GD) only need a draw on Monday night to secure their spot in the knockout stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Group A has been the lowest-scoring quartet of the tournament to date, and there’s ample reason to think that trend will continue tonight.

Kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL, is scheduled for 9:00 pm ET. Below, find my Inter Miami vs Palmeiras picks and predictions, followed by the odds for the game and where to find the best prices.

Inter Miami haven’t been their usual goal-happy selves through two games at the FIFA Club World Cup. After a nil-nil draw with Egyptian side Al Ahly on the first matchday, they eked out a 2-1 victory over Portuguese club Porto (as sizable underdogs) overcoming an early 1-0 deficit with two second-half goals.

Lionel Messi scored the winner in the 54th minute after Venezuelan midfielder Telasco Segovia drew Miami level in the 47th.

Palmeiras has written a similar script through two matches, playing Porto to a scoreless draw before beating the Egyptians 2-0 on goals by Wessam Abou Ali (49th minute) and Jose Manuel Lopez (59th).

In the other Group A match, Porto (0-1-1, 1 point, -1 GD) and Al Ahly (0-1-1, 1 point, -2 GD) both need a win and help. If Miami and Palmeiras don’t draw, whoever wins the Porto vs Al Ahly match could advance if they finish with a better goal differential than the team that loses the Miami/Palmeiras match.

The analytics say that Miami is extremely lucky to be in the position they’re in. They finished on the wrong end of the Expected Goals (xGF) in both matches (1.98 to 0.70 against Al Ahly, and 1.65 to 0.90 against Porto).

Palmeiras on the other hand is full value for its four points, and should realistically be on six. They generated 2.08 xGF in their nil-nil draw with Porto, while conceding just 0.78.

I’m backing a scoreless draw against Inter Miami, though. Neither team has any incentive to push the attack, and the legs are sure to be fatigued on the final matchday. Bettors can still get under 0.5 at +800 at DraftKings. For comparison, a 0-0 draw is priced at +500 at FanDuel and is as short as +350 at bet365.
