Madrid is a heavy -260 favorite here and has won the Super Cup on four different occasions, most recently in 2017. The only meeting between these two sides on the competitive stage was back in the 1960 European Cup final, with Real running out 7-3 winners in Glasgow.

Over/Under & Spread
Caesars isn’t offering spread or over/unders for this game but at DraftKings, Madrid is favored at -1.5 and +130 odds, which could be an intriguing option given the difference in quality between them and Frankfurt. Also, ‘over 2.5 goals’ at -160 odds is potentially a money maker because six of the last seven Super Cups hit the over.

Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction
Madrid didn’t look great in preseason action, but it’s tough to judge anything off tune-up matches. Carlo Ancelotti’s men drew 2-2 with Club America then lost 1-0 to rivals Barcelona. However, Los Blancos closed things out with a 2-0 victory over Juventus, which should give them confidence heading into Wednesday’s encounter.

The UCL holders also kick off their domestic campaign on Sunday against Almeria as they look to repeat as La Liga champions. Ancelotti made it clear he will only start the players on Wednesday who were a part of Real’s Champions League run, which means new signings Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni are expected to be substitutes.
Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt Preseason Stats
1-1-1 | Record | 3-1-0 |
4 | Goals Scored | 9 |
3 | Goals Conceded | 1 |
LDW | Form | WWL |
Frankfurt tasted European glory back in May to the surprise of many despite finishing 11th in the Bundesliga. That earned them an automatic berth into the group stages of the Champions League, but their domestic campaign got off to the worst possible start last Friday as Bayern hammered the Eagles 6-1 on home soil.
The preseason saw Oliver Glasner’s group win several games, though. That being said, their opponents weren’t the most difficult, facing lower-tier German clubs and Torino from Serie A. Frankfurt isn’t expected to be a top-four side in the Bundesliga this term and they’re about to take a massive hit as Filip Kostic is on the verge of securing a move to Juventus, arguably their best player. He’s obviously not going to be available on Wednesday.
Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt Team Lineups and Injuries
Real Madrid Projected Lineup: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy; Kroos, Casemiro, Modric; Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius.
Real Madrid Injuries: None.
Frankfurt Projected Lineup: Trapp; Toure, Tuta, N’Dicka; Knauff, Sow, Rode, Lenz; Kamada, Gotze, Borre.
Frankfurt Injuries: Onguene, Buta.
Real Madrid vs Entracht Frankfurt Pick
To be honest, I don’t see any way Madrid loses this game. Their sheer quality from front to back will be too much for Frankfurt. Expect Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior to pick up where they left off last season and play a key part in earning Los Blancos another piece of silverware. With the moneyline offering minimal value, I’m liking the Spanish giants to win and keep a clean sheet. Their backline is going to shut down Eintracht.
Pick: Real Madrid to win nil (+160)
