  • Seattle hosts Champions League-winner PSG in the final game of the group stage in the FIFA Club World Cup
  • PSG are monster favorites to earn a resounding win over the Sounders, who are 0-2 in CWC play
  • I have the low-down on the Sounders vs PSG odds plus a prediction

It’s the final day of round-robin play for Group A and B in the 2025 FIFA World Cup, highlighted by the Seattle Sounders playing Paris Saint-Germain at 3 pm ET at Lumen Field in Seattle.

Seattle needs a three-goal win (good luck with that) and some help to advance to the knockout round, while PSG advances with a draw or victory.

PSG has appeared vulnerable in this event, losing for the first time since May 3 to Brazil side Botafogo 1-0 last time out, but has the edge in talent and expertise. Can a big crowd push the Sounders to a stunning upset, or will PSG be A-OK? I have a preview of the odds and prediction.

Seattle Sounders v PSG Odds

Bet TypeSeattle SoundersPSG
Moneyline+1400-700
Draw+750+750
TotalO 2.5 (-300)U 2.5 (+240)

Sportsbooks see this as a mismatch with PSG favored by a wide margin. There is some intriguing value on some of the prop bets. PSG is +110 to win both halves, which is an enticing bet if you’re thinking it will be a blowout.

The over/under at 2.5 is also worth a look. A lot of the early games of the Club World Cup were stagnant defensive affairs, but now that we’re in the third game of the group stage, goal differential matters. Seattle needs to win by three goals to advance, a tall task, but there’s little reason for them to lay back in this one. That could open the door to a big win for PSG.

Seattle Sounders vs PSG Picks

  • PSG Correct Score 4-0 (+800 at bet365)
  • Over 2.5 Goals (-334 at bet365)

PSG superstar Ousmane Dembélé has yet to appear in the CWC with a thigh injury and coach Luis Enrique may prefer to keep him on the bench until the knockout stage begins. He has 21 goals in all competitions this season and is a -175 bet to score today at Bet365.

If Seattle is going to have any chance, they need to ride an early emotional wave from the crowd and hope to tally first. They could shift all the pressure to PSG that way, but Seattle’s defense is not at the same caliber of PSG.

I believe PSG will get two early goals and then cruise for while. Seattle will have no choice but to push forward and end up conceding a couple more late. I’m going to eschew any moneyline bet and go for a correct score pick to get some real value.

Seattle Sounders vs PSG Prediction

The Rave Green (Seattle) is catching PSG at just the wrong time. The prestigious French side is coming off a 1-0 loss to Botafogo, in a game where they outshot the Brazil club 16-4 and had possession 72 percent of the time, but couldn’t pull an equalizer.

Let’s be real and say that the CWC is all about showcasing the premier clubs in the soccer world to an American audience, and no one is bigger than PSG. They won the continental treble: a Ligue 1 title, a Coupe de France win and their first UCL trophy. They will take this game seriously and want to put on a show.

Seattle, which is currently sixth on the MLS table, will get a boost from a huge home crowd, but they just aren’t at the level of PSG. I see Paris Saint-Germain wingers Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (2 assists in CWC win over Athletico) and Desire Doué running wild.
