TCU vs Oral Roberts Pitching Matchup
Right-hander Brooks Fowler will be toeing the rubber for the Golden Eagles. He’s 9-1 this season with a team-leading 3.27 ERA. Fowler has struck out 74 batters over 77 innings of work, allowing just 65 hits during that span.
The Horned Frogs have been riding a two-man rotation of Kyle Klecker and Sam Stoutenborough during the postseason. However, with the quick turnaround of games in the CWS, it’s likely that TCU will be countering with right-hander Cam Brown. The junior hurler is third on the club with 11 starts. Brown is 3-2 with a 5.50 ERA and 59 strikeouts over 52.1 innings pitched.
Horned Frogs 20-3 Since Beginning Of May
The loss to Oral Roberts in the CWS opener is the only loss suffered by TCU over the school’s past 13 games. In the 4-3 win over Virginia, the Horned Frogs opened up a 3-1 advantage on the Cavaliers and hung on for the victory. TCU is 5-7 straight up in one-run games this season.

Golden Eagles Don’t Often Get Two-Timed

Oral Roberts has played come-from-behind baseball in both of the school’s CWS games. A three-run homer in the ninth inning by second baseman Blaze Brothers was the difference in the 6-5 win over TCU. After falling behind 5-1 to the Gators, the Golden Eagles roared back to close within one and put the potential winning run on base in the ninth inning.
