Bublik Advances

The 26-year old has been playing great tennis all week, and was playing well against Sinner, when the Italian retired from the match due to injury. Specifically an injured adductor muscle. Prior to Sinner retiring, Bublik had one the first set 7-5, and was up 2-0 in the second.

The Russian-Kazakhstani player had recorded six aces already, to just one double fault and landed 71 % of his first serves.

Bublik will now compete in the final four for the second time this year, and the first time since he reached the semifinals in Marseille back in February.

Zverev a Two-time Cinch Championship Finalist

This is not new territory for Zverev, as the 26-year old has made it this far in this tournament a couple times. He now has another shot at capturing the title for the first time, as he’s just two wins away. He’s also looking to win his first title since 2021.

The German definitely had a hard draw that saw his schedule include Roberto Bautista Agut, Dominic Thiem and Denis Shapovalov in the first few rounds. His opening match was cancelled, so he managed to away Bautista Agut.

In his quarterfinal match, he outplayed Jarry completely in front of a home crowd. It took just under two hours to advance to the semifinals.

Bublik vs Zverev Recent History

This will be the fourth time Bublik and Zverev go head-to-head, and the second time this year. Bublik won the first two matches in 2021 and 2022, but it was Zverev who secured the win last time they played each other at the ATP Monte-Carlo Masters.

Bublik vs Zverev Picks

Not only do these two share a first name, but they also share a similar style of play. They’re strong, and can move around the court quick, but rely heavily on their serves and powerful groundstrokes.

Neither player has fallen in love with the grass court surface. They’ve both struggled in the pass, and have yet to win a title on the surface. It does feel like Zverev has the slight upper hand but it could really go either way. Because of that, look for the match to go the distance.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 sets (+120)
