The second week of Wimbledon is well underway with quarterfinals beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, July 6th. This match will be an all-Australian quarterfinal clash between Barty and Tomljanovic.
Barty is heading into this match a pretty heavy favorite. The World No. 1 has been having herself a very impressive year, already capturing three titles, and has once again shown consistency here in London, having lost just one set in her four matches.
Tomljanovic will be soaking everything up as she booked a spot in her first Grand Slam quarterfinal. The Australian is still looking for her first career title. Can she capture it at Wimbledon?
Once again the WTA tour has been pretty open, with players having the opportunity to burst onto the scene. Could this be a possibility for Tomljanovic? Continue below for match odds and our best bet analysis.

Barty Eases into the Quarterfinals
Despite skipping the grass court season prior to Wimbledon, Barty has shown no signs of trouble. In her opening round match she dropped the second set, but since then has not allowed her opponents to gain any momentum.

She’s heading into the quarterfinals coming off a 7-5, 6-3 win over 14th seed Barbora Krejcikova. Barty is now 11-1 against Top 20 players and recorded her 32nd win of the year.
The key to Barty’s success has been her consistency, and she’s continued to show that here at Wimbledon, and was on full display against Krejcikova.
Tomljanovic Reaches First Grand Slam Quarterfinal
Tomljanovic earned her spot in the quarterfinals after her Round of 16 opponent Emma Raducanu retired from the match due to difficulty breathing at 6-4, 3-0.
Ajla Tomljanovic is into her 1st career Slam quarterfinal after Emma Raducanu forced to retire down 64 30.
Strong effort from Tomljanovic in the final two games of the 1st set, saving 2 BPs and then saving 3 GPs to break for the set.

Despite being up when Raducanu retired, the two were matched pretty evenly in the first set, going back and forth before Tomljanovic was able to close it out.
Tomljanovic will now see her toughest opponent of the the tournament to date, her good friend, who also happens to be No. 1 in the world, Barty.
Head-to-Head
We have no previous match to go off of between these two Australians. But we do know their style of play. And actually these two couldn’t be more different.
Barty is widely known for her variety of shots she mixes in, as well as her tricky backhand slice that she utilizes so well. Tomljanovic isn’t known so much for her variety, instead more so her strong, heavy hits.

Best Bet
Tomljanovic has had a fairly straightforward path to the quarterfinals. She’s been challenged, yes, but on paper, her draw was quite nice. Barty will be the first seeded player she’s had to face at Wimbledon.
There’s no reason to think that Barty won’t come out of this match with the win. Sometimes experience doesn’t always carry the largest weight, but in this case it should. Tomljanovic has very little experience winning against top players, having just three top 10 wins in her career.
Best Bet: Barty 2-0 (-162)
