In the first set, Zverev played efficiently against the Italian. His serve and his forehand were his strong suits. Berrettini was serving terribly, and Zverev was able to return strong and aggressively. In a relatively easy match for Zverev, he was able to capitalize on the weaknesses of Berrettini to win 6-3, 6-4.
Medvedev Seeking First Win over Zverev
This will be the fifth time Medvedev and Zverev will have faced each other. Despite being the favorite in this match, Medvedev has yet to beat the German, Zverev. The two have yet to face each other in 2019, but saw each other twice in 2018, once in 2017 and once in 2016 on both outdoor and indoor hard courts. The last time they faced each other was at the Rogers Cup in the round of 16, where Zverev beat Medvedev in straight set.

The two players haven’t seen each other in over a year, and a lot has changed since then. Especially in Daniil Medvedev’s game, which part of the reason he’s favored in tomorrow’s match. Medvedev has been playing some of the best tennis of his career, and now has surpassed Zverev in world ranking.
Best Bet
The Shanghai Masters Finals match will be a fun one to watch. Both players have knocked out one of the big three, and are playing aggressive, strong tennis. Having been the fifth time the two have seen each other in their young careers, they know who they’re playing.
Despite not have one a match against him, Medvedev is the favorite going into Sunday’s match at -170, and much has changed in a year since the two have seen each other. It does seem that in this tournament, Medvedev should come out on top and continue his winning streak.
Best Bet: Medvedev (-170)
