The Fever got a big scare last time out against the Connecticut Sun: leading scorer and Rookie of the Year favorite Caitlin Clark (17.0 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 5.5 APG) rolled her ankle and exited the game in the first half. But the all-time leading NCAA scorer returned in the second half, finishing with a team-high 17 points, and she isn’t even listed on the team’s injury report ahead of their matchup with Seattle.
Seattle star Nneka Ogwumike, however, is listed as a game-time decision with an ankle injury of her own. Averaging a team-high 22.0 PPG, the 33-year-old Ogwumike has missed the last two games, which included Seattle’s first win of the season (84-75 at Washington) and an 11-point loss at New York (74-63) as 14.5-point road underdogs. This is Ogwumike’s first season with the Storm after spending the first 12 seasons of her career with Los Angeles.

Clark’s total is at just 19.5, the first time this season she’s been listed under 20. Averaging 17 points per game so far in his young career, Clark as gone over 19.5 twice in her first four games and hit at least 17 three times. He overall average is being brought down by an ugly nine-point game against New York on March 16.
Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm Predictions
Indiana pushed a very good Connecticut team to the brink last time out, even holding a 76-72 lead late in the fourth quarter before ultimately falling 88-84. The Fever also won at Seattle early in the 2023 season, 80-68, getting 25 points from Kelsey Mitchell.
They certainly have the pieces to be better than what they have showed so far, and facing a Seattle that will likely be missing Ogqwumike for the third straight game is a prime opportunity to pick up their first win.
Fever vs Storm picks:
- Fever moneyline (+205)
- Clark over 19.5 points (-110)
