We tracked the English Premier League relegation odds for all 20 EPL teams, from the moment they became available to the day it became official that all three recently promoted teams, Southampton, Leicester City, and Ipswich, were being sent back down to the Championship. The graphs below were generated by averaging the odds from multiple sources and were updated throughout the 2024/25 season.

Notes on the EPL Relegation odds movement over the course of the season include:

• April 28: With four games remaining, Ipswich are the third and final team to be relegated following the 2024-25 EPL season. A brief reprieve was offered through Brighton’s 3-2 defeat of West Ham, but Ipswich’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle guarantees The Tractor Boys won’t finish higher than 18th. This is just the third time that all three newly promoted teams were immediately relegated. This was also the first time in the Premier League era that all three teams have been relegated with four games still to play.
• April 22: Leicester’s 1-0 to Liverpool over the weekend has doomed The Foxes to the drop, a fate Ipswich can join them in next weekend. Most sportsbooks are no longer offering EPL Relegation odds, now that The Tractor Boys are fifteen points away from safety with only five games remaining.
• April 9: Southampton are officially relegated! Last weekend’s 3-1 loss to Tottenham have doomed The Saints with a move back the Championship. Leicester City may be joining them after Matchday 32, should The Foxes lose to Brighton and Wolves beat Spurs at home.
• February 28: Southampton is a foregone conclusion, but there may yet be an escape for either of Leicester (-2500) and Ipswich (-1000). It’s true, no team has ever escaped relegation after having just 17 after Matchweek 27. The one sliver of hope for either team is what’s keeping 4th Place Manchester City (+1000) on the board: that The Cityzens’ Fairplay penalties are so significant, they are immediately dropped to the Championship.
• October 24: Four teams, Wolves, Southampton, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich currently remain without a win this season, but its 14th-place Leicester who at +100 remains among the bottom three in the current relegation odds.
• August 13: Newly promoted Leicester (-250), Ipswich (-138), and Southampton (+110) all remain favorites for relegation with the start of the new EPL season just days away. Interestingly, some books are giving Manchester City relegation odds as short as +1000, with the threat of relegation hanging over City due to multiple alleged breaches of financial rules.
• June 1: Despite winning the Championship last season, Leicester City have the dubious honor of being the favorite for relegation in 2024/25, with odds averaging at -212. Just behind is fellow promotee Ipswich Town (-127) and Everton (+150 ), who survived 2023/24 despite a point deduction.
