Underdog Missouri: Legal Updates & App Review Ahead of December 1 Launch

Underdog Sportsbook is coming to Missouri as it is on track to be part of the December 1 launch of legal sports betting in the state.
The Missouri Gaming Commission awarded Underdog Missouri a license, paving the way for it to be one of the available Missouri sports betting apps on launch day.

Is Underdog Missouri Sportsbook Legal?
Underdog Missouri became a licensed sportsbook in October, but you cannot place a bet there legally until Dec. 1, 2025.
The MGC is allowing for pre-registration and funding of sportsbook accounts on Nov. 17.
Underdog is one of nine operators that was awarded a sports betting license by the MGC, joining DraftKings, BetMGM, bet365, ESPN BET, FanDuel, Caesars Sportsbook, Fanatics Sportsbook and Circa Sports.
The licensing, pre-registration and launch date are the product of a November 2024 vote by the people of Missouri to legalize sports betting in the state. Amendment 2 passed by fewer than 3,000 votes but opened the door for up to 14 online sports betting sites and 19 retail operators.
Missouri will become the second state to have access to Underdog Sportsbook, joining North Carolina.

If Underdog stays consistent with what it is offering in North Carolina, the Underdog Missouri promo code could be for a 100% deposit match up to $100.
Deposit match bonuses give users a bonus amount based on the value of their first deposit. In the case of a 100% deposit match, if you made a $100 deposit, you would receive $100 in bonus funds.
Underdog is unique in that it has a 1x playthrough requirement with the deposit match bonus it offers elsewhere. That means you only need to bet the bonus funds once before the winnings can be withdrawn.
There’s a chance Underdog could switch things up and offer a First Bet or Bet & Get bonus.
For a First Bet bonus, customers place their first bet, and if it loses, receive a bonus in the amount of that bet, up to a certain amount.
Bet & Get bonuses are my favorite, as they require the least from a customer up front. For example, a Bet $5, Get $200 bonus would grant you $200 in bonus bets for simply making an initial bet of $5.
The bonus amount will vary, and sometimes the initial bet must be $10. Some sportsbooks require the first bet to win, while others do not. This is all spelled out within the terms and conditions.

Not many people have had a chance to take the Underdog Sportsbook app for a spin, as it is only available in North Carolina.
But those who have are giving overwhelmingly positive reviews, as it carries a 4.8 rating on the Apple App Store and 4.6 on Google Play.
The general consensus is that it’s more suited for casual bettors, or those who are making the move from daily fantasy sports to sports betting.
Bets You Can Make at Underdog Sportsbook
- Moneyline: The most simple bet at a sportsbook, as you’re simply picking who will win a game or match.
- Spread: Spread bets are the most commonly referred to bets in sports. If the Kansas City Chiefs are listed at -6.5 against the Las Vegas Raiders, that means the Chiefs would have to win by seven or more to cash a bet on them. Any Raiders win, or Chiefs win by six or less, would result in a winning Raiders spread bet.
- Totals (over/under): These bets are on the total score of a game. If the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals are playing with a listed total of 7.5, eight or more runs scored in the game would equal a winning over bet. Anything at seven or less would result in a winning under bet.
- Props: Proposition bets are on events that could happen within a game. Team props include things like total shots in a hockey game, corners taken in a soccer game, etc. Player props can range from will Travis Kelce score a touchdown, to Bobby Witt Jr. having over or under 1.5 hits in a game.
- Futures: These bets are on outcomes that will happen beyond a game. Futures bet examples include who will win the Super Bowl, who will win NFL MVP, will the Chiefs win over or under 11.5 games, etc.
- Parlays: A parlay is a series of bets combined to create longer odds and a higher possible payout. You can create a parlay in a single game (single-game parlays, or SGPs), or by combining bets from multiple games. All selections, or legs, within your parlay must win in order for the full bet to win.

So, you should expect to not only see a variety of betting markets for those teams, but also some specials throughout their seasons.

There is, of course, no NBA team in Missouri, but you’ll be able to place bets on the NBA in the Show-Me State. Same with UFC, boxing, European and international soccer, NASCAR, F1 and much more.
Betting on college sports will also be allowed in Missouri, although any possible restrictions have not been announced. So, I’m confident you will be able to bet on college football, March Madness and even the College World Series at Underdog Missouri.
I don’t know, however, if college player props will be available, or if there will be any restrictions on betting on Mizzou football odds or any other in-state college teams.
