As in previous years, the 2015 edition of the Golden Globe Awards promises to be good for a few tear-filled speeches and a plethora of laughs; it will also serve as a barometer for the Oscars.

Though the “gilded planets” (a terrible nickname that we just made up) won’t be doled out until January, we have handicapped all of the major categories.
