The only thing missing from Dustin Johnson’s trophy case is the FedExCup. The number one player in the world has a Major, six World Golf Championships and 15 other PGA Tour victories on his resume, and it looks like the missing piece will be added on Monday.

DJ will take a five stroke lead into the final round of the Tour Championship at East Lake and is an overwhelming favorite to bring home the title. He started the tournament with a two-stroke lead thanks to his position atop the FedExCup standings and the question now becomes will he not only win the FedExCup, but also finish the event with the lowest 72-hole score.

Tyrrell Hatton | -8 | 204 | +50000 | +4000 |

Xander Schauffele is currently two shots clear of Johnson in that category, and although he doesn’t get anything extra for finishing with the lowest amount of strokes for the week, it’s nice to have a secondary category to wager on.
Top of the Board
If you’re betting on who will win the Tour Championship, it’s hard to justify taking anyone other than DJ. He enters the final round with the lead for the fourth time in his last four starts, and would be on the verge of an unprecedented FedExCup Playoffs sweep, if not for this miraculous putt by Jon Rahm.

He ranks eighth this week in ball striking and third in strokes gained tee-to-green and there should be no concern about him taking his foot of the gas. Two weeks ago at the Northern Trust, he also led by five shots entering the final round and proceeded to shoot 63 en route to an 11-stroke victory.

DJ tied for the low round of the day on Sunday, posting a 6-under 64 and a similar outing on Monday should lock up not only the Tour Championship but also the lowest 72-hole score.
Thomas on Target
If passing on Johnson for lowest 72-hole score, look no further than Justin Thomas. After an opening round 66, JT stumbled on Saturday to a 1-over par round of 71, but rebounded with another 66 on Sunday.

After losing a combined 4.63 strokes on the greens in rounds 1 and 2, Thomas figured out the flatstick in round 3, gaining 1.42 strokes on the field. If the hot putter continues on Monday, he’ll surely threaten the lead as the rest of his game is on point. He leads the event in strokes gained tee-to-green, and ranks top-four in ball striking, approach and around the green.
Live Tour Championship Lowest-72 Hole Score Value Picks
- Collin Morikawa (+1400): After back-to-back disappointing Playoff starts, his ball striking is back to what we’re used to seeing. He ranks fourth in strokes approach and tee-to-green, and is one of only three players to win twice since the restart.
- Scottie Scheffler (+1600): Scheffler is having a fantastic playoffs and is only two weeks removed from shooting 59. He leads the field in strokes gained approach this week but ranks 23rd in putting. If he figures out the flatstick on Monday, another very low round could be in the cards.
