How to Find the Best Masters Betting Odds

Masters odds vary by sportsbook and this page leverages odds from multiple operators to show a clear market view. Compare odds across the best sportsbooks before betting to find the best value.

2027 Masters Betting Odds: Favorites & Top Contenders

After Rory McIlroy made it two straight wins at August on April 11, 2026, sportsbooks opened the 2027 Masters odds with world #1 Scottie Scheffler as the +400 favorite. McIlroy sits a close second at +600 and will be trying to achieve no other golfer has done: win the Masters three straight years. Jon Rahm (+1200), Bryson DeChambeau (+1400), and Xander Schauffele (+1800) round out the top-five favorites in the opening 2027 Masters odds.

Masters Betting Odds Explained

The Masters betting odds are usually displayed in American odds format. For example, Scottie Scheffler is priced around +540 to win. If you’re new to sports betting, you may not know how to read golf odds.

This Masters odds format means that if you bet $100 on Scheffler and he wins the green jacket, you will profit $540.

Once we get later in the tournament, you will eventually see the leader at a negative number, e.g. -110 or -150. When you see a negative number, it represents the amount you have to wager in order to win $100. At -110 odds, you have to wager $110 to win $100; at -150, you have to wager $150 to win $100.

Every player’s odds also represent their implied win probability. You can easily convert odds to implied win probability with SBD’s odds converter. Put the odds in the “American” field and it will generate the implied win probability. A price of +100 (a.k.a. “even-money”) has 50% implied win probability.

While this page tracks the Masters outright-winner betting market, there are many other types of Masters bets you can make. These include top-5, top-10, and top-20 finish, odds to make or miss the cut, and head-to-head matchups where you bet on a certain player to finish better than one or two others in either a specific round or the tournament as a whole.

2027 Odds to Win the Masters

The chart above will show the Kalshi prediction market odds for the 2027 Masters when they are posted. If you’re not familiar with Kalshi, it’s a platform where people buy and sell shares based on whether they think something will happen. Instead of traditional Masters odds from a sportsbook, Kalshi gives you a win probability as a percentage. For example, in 2026, Scottie Scheffler was currently trading at 14% before round one, meaning the market believes he has a 14% chance to win. You can buy “yes” shares if you think his real chances are higher, or “no” shares if you think the market is overvaluing him.

Kalshi numbers are driven by market supply and demand, so they can differ from the sportsbook odds.

2027 Masters Favorites

The favorites heading into the 2027 Masters include the top OWGR golfers and a pair of LIV stars who have surged up the odds board.

Scottie Scheffler (+400)

Scottie Scheffler is the world’s #1 golfer, so it is no surprise that he is the favorite to win the 2027 Masters. Even years have been great for Scheffler at Augusta of late. Scheffler won the Masters in 2022 and 2024 and has never finished outside the top 20 at the tournament. He added the PGA Championship and Open Championship in 2025 to bring his major total to four. He finished runner-up to McIlroy by a single stroke at the 2027 Masters.

Rory McIlroy (+600)

Rory McIlroy is the two-time defending Masters champion and will try to become the first person to win three straight Green Jackets in 2027. He has played in 18 Masters and has nine top-ten finishes and two victories. As long as his back stays healthy, he should remain the second-favorite to Scheffler for the foreseeable future, largely based on his status as the two-time defending champ.

Jon Rahm (+1200)

The 2023 Masters winner, Jon Rahm was one of the most-heavily bet golfers at the 2026 Masters. He teed off round one as the second-favorite to Scheffler but then fired a 78 and was never in contention thereafter. He continues to rack up wins and top-5 finishes on the LIV Golf Tour.

When Is the 2027 Masters?

The 2027 Masters begins on Thursday, April 8, and runs through Sunday, April 11 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. This is the 91st edition of the Masters Tournament, played on the par-72 course measuring 7,555 yards. Last year, the Masters had a $21 million purse.

2026Rory McIlroy+1025
2025Rory McIlroy+650
2024Scottie Scheffler+400
2023Jon Rahm+800
2022Scottie Scheffler+1500

2020Dustin Johnson+850
2019Tiger Woods+1300
2018Patrick Reed+5000
2017Sergio García+3000
2016Danny Willett+5000

The recent Masters odds trends show a lot of favorites and top contenders winning. The average pre-tournament odds for the last ten winners is just +2300.

In the last ten years, the only semi-longshots that have won the Masters are Patrick Reed (2018) and Danny Willett (2016), who both teed off around +5000.

To find a true longshot winner, you have to go all the way back to 2011 when Charles Schwartzel won after starting the tournament at +10000 or longer depending on the sportsbook.

Masters Opening Odds 2027

There are two types of odds in golf that players can wager on, including pre-tournament odds and live odds during the tournament. Specifically, Pre-Tournament Masters odds can provide great value to bettors on the eventual winner if they place a bet before competition begins.

Take Hideki Matsuyama’s winning round as an example in 2021. His 2021 Masters odds were as long as +4500 before competition began, and shortened to +1900 by Saturday before going into the final round as a -118 favorite.

By betting on Masters Pre-Tournament odds, you’ll get more bang for your buck as a bettor rather than waiting and seeing who plays well during the opening two rounds of competition.

Live Betting at the Masters

Conversely, if your pre-Masters picks fail to make the cut or aren’t playing well, there’s plenty of success that can be had live betting at the Masters. Learning how to live bet on golf can pay dividends at the Masters.

While the odds are constantly shifting during play, at the conclusion of each round is a perfect time to look up different stats and betting trends to make smart, in-play Masters bets.

Checking on the live leaderboard for score and data, such as strokes gained in driving, approach, and putting are also usual harbingers of success at Augusta National. Live betting a player who’s poised to get up the leaderboard on Saturday or Sunday early in the Tournament can lead to a big payoff for bettors.

Masters Betting: Best Golf Betting Promos

While there are plenty of bets to make in traditional Masters odds, as well as Masters props, many sportsbooks offer special sports betting promos for the Masters.

These can include odds boosts on some of the top players to win the Masters, special props with enhanced odds for expected outcomes like top 10 players to make the cut, as well as other offers come Masters week.

Masters Betting Strategy

When betting on the Masters, your strategy shouldn’t stray too far from the norm of how to bet on golf.

Course history and past performance do tend to come into play more at Augusta National than other majors and tournaments, as institutional knowledge is paramount to success at the Masters.

Knowing that, it can be beneficial to bet on former champions and players that have a history of success in the Masters to either win outright, finish within the top five, ten, or 20, or even something as simple as making the cut.

Another one of the Masters betting trends to note is that it is nearly impossible to win the event in back-to-back years, as it’s only been accomplished three times: Jack Nicklaus in 1965-66, Nick Faldo in 1989-90, and Tiger Woods in 2001-02.
