Germany won their fourth star on Sunday beating Argentina 1-0 in the extra time with a Mario Götze goal  that give them their first World Cup title since 1986; however, the key of this team’s success was the way coach Joachim Low made everything happen.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling,” Götze said. “I didn’t know what was happening. It’s indescribable. A dream became a reality. It is absolutely sensational.”

Low gave Gotze the order to become the heroes and he did it by scoring the only goal in the game at the 113th minute, when suddenly everybody was thinking penalties.

“I said to him, ‘show to the world you are better than Messi,’” said Löw. “I had a good feeling that he can play in any position.”

“It’s unbelievable what we have achieved,” Captain Phillip Lahm said. “Whether we have the best individual player doesn’t matter at all, you just need to have the best team.”

Germany lost the 2008 Euro final against Spain, then lost the 2010 semifinal against the same team and saw how a great generation couldn’t win the big game.  Low maintained the same style and filled the squad with young blood; all with an amazing technique, and thirst for victories.

Low lost perhaps his most talented player in Marco Reus, one week before the World Cup, and his entire plans changed.  Germany stuck together with a team that loves to pass the ball around and dominates games, and luckily for them, this time they were able to deliver.
