This weekend’s much vaulted SEC-Big 12 matchup could end up being an embarrassing blowout as the fourth-ranked Sooners host the Volunteers.

However, if Tennessee has any shot at an upset it’ll come by the way of the team’s defense, which during its first two games of the year only allowed seven of 31 third-down plays to be converted.

Said Volunteers linebacker A.J. Johnson, “We wanted to be better on third down. Pretty much, that’s the money down.”

Added cornerback Cam Sutton, “Our defensive line is getting tremendous pressure up front and just impacting the quarterback. That makes our jobs easier covering receivers downfield.”

As for the Sooners Head Coach Bob Stoops, he’s hoping his quarterback Trevor Knight can handle the pressure.

Knight said, “They’re physical. Week in and week out, they play in the SEC. They go up against good competition. They have a bunch of guys who can fly around. It’s going to be a challenge for us. We look forward to it.”

What may appear to be a challenge in all likelihood will end up with a Sooners’ victory. Playing with 20.5 points isn’t always fun, which is why the over looks appealing in this Saturday night game in Norman.
