Wyoming Cowboys at Oregon Ducks (-43, 64.5 o/u)
It’s official, Marcus Mariota officially threw his name into the Heisman hat last week with a 318 yard and three touchdown performance as the Ducks defeated Michigan State. In fact, considering the Ducks were down in the third quarter, the redshirt junior quarterback added to his already impressive resume.
Mariota said, “To be down at half and battle back to win that game is a huge confidence builder for this team. You learn a lot about your team.”
That said, he stressed the second-ranked Oregon isn’t take this week’s game against the lonely Wyoming Cowboys lightly.
Mariota said, “Our mentality is still the same. I thought (Monday’s) practice was one of the better ones we’ve had this year, and that’s a token to our team. Our attitude won’t change. We’ll continue to get better and we’re looking forward to another one on Saturday.”
As for Wyoming, the squad is 2-0 but knows it was lucky in last weekend’s 17-13 win over Air Force.
Cowboys first-year coach Craig Bohl said, “It was a hard-fought game, lots of ebbs and flows during the course of the game and a lot of momentum to have our players keep believing in our system. We have room for improvement, no question, but this was a hard-fought win and we are going to enjoy it.”
When looking at this game, does anyone really question whether the Ducks can win by 43? In fact, the team could hit the o/u on its own.
