Tigers Favored in Wide-Open ACC
The odds favor Clemson returning to ACC supremacy in 2022. The Tigers finished with an underwhelming 10-3 record in 2021, missing out on the ACC Championship game for the first time in seven years. Dabo Swinney is back as head coach with revenge on his mind.
Although Clemson is the heavy favorite in the ACC Title odds, they’re far from a lock to win the conference. The Tigers’ biggest concern in 2021 was offense, as QB DJ Uiagalelei only completed 55.8% of his passes despite entering the year as a Heisman favorite.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy odds suggest Vegas isn’t sold on a Uiagalelei comeback season, leaving the door open for a new contender to potentially emerge in the ACC. Miami (+700) makes for an intriguing value play with Mario Cristobal taking over as coach and Tyler Van Dyke returning at QB.
The true sleeper team in the ACC, however, is North Carolina State (+800). The Wolfpack enter the 2022 season returning 22 starters from the team that went 9-3 in 2021. Among the returnees is star sophomore QB Devin Leary, who passed for 3,433 yards and 35 TDs in 2021.
Big 12 Conference Championship Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Oklahoma | +175 |
Texas | +250 |
Baylor | +500 |
Oklahoma State | +600 |
Iowa State | +1400 |
TCU | +1400 |
West Virginia | +1400 |
Kansas State | +3300 |
Texas Tech | +4000 |
Kansas | +25000 |
Sooners Favored to Return to Top of Big 12
Oklahoma is listed as +175 favorites to win the Big 12 Conference in 2022 despite losing esteemed head coach Lincoln Riley to the USC Trojans. In addition to Riley’s departure, the Sooners have seen quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Spencer Rattler leave the program.
While new head coach Brent Venables and UCF transfer QB Dillon Gabriel have potential, Oklahoma has too many question marks to warrant an early futures bet. It’s a similar story for Texas, who are beginning the Quinn Ewers era following Casey Thompson’s transfer to Nebraska.

Baylor at +500 sticks out as a solid early value play in the 2022 Big 12 College Football Conference Championship odds. The Bears return every defensive lineman plus four offensive linemen from the roster that captured the Big 12 Title in 2021.
If you’re looking for a true sleeper in the Big 12 Title odds, Kansas State at +3300 is worth a sprinkle. The Wildcats landed four-year starting QB Adrian Martinez out of the transfer portal from Nebraska and are returning All-Americans Deuce Vaughn and Felix Aniduke-Uzomah.
Big Ten Conference Championship Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Ohio State | -200 |
Penn State | +900 |
Michigan | +1000 |
Nebraska | +1400 |
Wisconsin | +1400 |
Iowa | +1600 |
Minnesota | +1600 |
Michigan State | +2500 |
Purdue | +2500 |
Indiana | +2800 |
Maryland | +8000 |
Northwestern | +10000 |
Illinois | +15000 |
Rutgers | +15000 |
Buckeyes Dominate Big Ten Futures
Ohio State is heavy -200 favorites to win the Big Ten Conference in 2022 after a disappointing season in 2021. The Buckeyes are loaded on offense with Heisman finalist QB CJ Stroud, RB TreVeyon Henderson and WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba all returning for another season.
Ohio State’s defense ultimately cost them a Big Ten Title in 2021, but there’s reason for optimism moving forward. OSU hired Jim Knowles from Oklahoma State as their new defensive coordinator in 2022. The veteran coach helped the Cowboys lead the Big 12 in total defense last year.
Ryan Day said DC Jim Knowles focuses on teaching techniques, noting that "he ran the same defense" for a whole practice.

Outside of Ohio State, there isn’t a Big Ten contender who oddsmakers project will seriously challenge for the title. Defending champs Michigan are intriguing longshots at +1000, but they’ve got big-time question marks with the loss of both their offensive and defensive coordinators.
Michigan State at +2500 is the best value play you can make in the Big Ten Title odds. The Spartans are being discounted with the loss of running back Kenneth Walker, but Mel Tucker is building something special in East Lansing. MSU added eight players via the transfer portal, including Wisconsin RB Jalen Berger.
Pac-12 Conference Championship Odds
Team | Odds |

Oregon | +250 |
USC | +325 |
Utah | +350 |
UCLA | +1000 |
Washington | +1000 |
Stanford | +1200 |

Arizona State | +1600 |

Retooled Trojans Shakeup Pac-12 Odds
The Lincoln Riley era beginning at USC has had a major impact on the Pac-12 Conference Championship odds. The Trojans are closing in on Oregon as the Pac-12 favorite ahead of the 2022 season. Washington and Oregon have been the top-two favorites in previous years.
This USC team is going to look very different than the one that went 4-8 during the 2021 season. Not only is Riley the new head coach, but he’s also brought Oklahoma QB Caleb Williams and Sooners’ defensive coordinator Alex Grinch with him to the West Coast.

USC has the most upside of any team in the Pac-12 Conference Championship odds, especially with rumblings that Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison is looking at potentially transferring to USC. If Addison becomes a Trojan, USC’s Pac-12 odds will shorten further.
When it comes to Pac-12 sleepers, Washington State (+1200) is worth sprinkling on. The Cougars landed one of the best QBs in the portal in Cameron Ward, who passed for 4,648 yards in FCS last season. With Oregon breaking in a new coach and QB, WSU should challenge in the North.
SEC Conference Championship Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Alabama | -152 |
Georgia | +150 |
Texas A&M | +1200 |
Tennessee | +3300 |
Arkansas | +4000 |
Florida | +4000 |
Kentucky | +4000 |
Ole Miss | +5000 |

LSU | +6600 |

Tide Favored Over UGA in SEC Odds
Alabama is listed as slight favorites over Georgia in the SEC Conference Championship odds despite losing to the Bulldogs in the 2021 National Championship. The Bulldogs lost a record-breaking 15 players to the NFL Draft, making oddsmakers skeptical of UGA’s ability to run it back.
While Georgia has lost several key weapons from their elite defense, the Crimson Tide are returning their key difference makers from 2021. Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young is back at quarterback, while All-American linebacker Will Anderson headlines the defense.

It’s hard to bet against Nick Saban and Alabama in the College Football odds. Not only have the Tide won the SEC in six of the past eight years, but they made a splash in the portal this offseason adding Georgia Tech RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Georgia WR Jermaine Burton and LSU CB Eli Rick.
While the Tide are the team to beat in the SEC, is there a sleeper team worth wagering on? Kentucky should make some noise in the SEC East following consecutive 10-win seasons under Mark Stoops. In the West, Sam Pittman’s turnaround of Arkansas makes the Razorbacks a value darkhorse.
