Why Oregon Covers in Happy Valley
Oregon’s getting 3.5 points and that’s too many. Dante Moore has been surgical, completing 72% of his passes with an 11-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He’s facing a Penn State defense that hasn’t been tested by this caliber of quarterback.
The Ducks already beat Penn State in the Big Ten Championship nine months ago. They know how to handle James Franklin’s game plan. And Franklin’s 4-19 record against top-10 teams tells you everything about his ability in big moments.
Sharp money has moved this line from Penn State -4.5 down to -3.5. When professionals back the road dog in a hostile environment, you pay attention.
Dante Moore Passing Yards Play
Moore is averaging 268.5 yards per game, and Penn State’s pass defense hasn’t faced an offense this explosive. Oregon’s offensive line ranks first nationally in pass blocking grade. They’ve allowed just one sack all season.
Moore will have clean pockets to work from. Penn State’s pass rush won’t get home consistently, giving him time to find Dakorien Moore and the Oregon receiving corps downfield.
Fading Drew Allar’s TD Production
Allar has thrown just four touchdown passes in three games against Nevada, FIU, and Villanova. Those are cupcakes, and he still couldn’t produce in the red zone.
Oregon hasn’t allowed a passing touchdown all season. Their secondary locks down the red zone, forcing teams to run the ball near the goal line. Penn State will lean on Singleton and Allen to punch it in, not Allar’s arm.
Alabama vs Georgia Parlay Picks
Alabama Keeps It Close
Georgia is 0-3 against the spread this season. They haven’t covered a single game despite being undefeated. That’s a massive red flag for a team laying points against another elite program.
Ty Simpson has been flawless with zero interceptions through three games. He’s completing 71.9% of his passes and has the best clean pocket passing grade in the country. Georgia’s pass rush ranks 125th nationally with just three sacks all year.
Alabama’s 4-1 ATS against Georgia since 2020. They’ve won nine of the last ten meetings overall. The psychological edge matters in these rivalry games.
Ryan Williams Torches Georgia Again
Williams destroyed Georgia for 177 yards and the game-winner last season. Tennessee receivers just went for 177 and 97 yards against this same secondary two weeks ago.
Georgia’s cornerbacks have combined for zero pass breakups while allowing 248 yards on 31 targets. Williams is averaging 15 yards per target with breakaway speed that punishes blown coverages.
Simpson will look for Williams early and often. This number’s too low for Alabama’s most explosive weapon.
Points Pile Up in Athens
Both teams are allowing 100% red zone scoring this season. Every trip inside the 20 results in points. That’s not sustainable, but it shows neither defense can get stops when it matters.
Alabama ranks 119th in third-down defense, while Georgia sits 86th against the pass. When defenses can’t get off the field, drives extend and points accumulate.
The total has moved up from 52.5 to 53.5 as sharp money recognizes these offenses will feast. Both teams have the weapons to exploit the other’s defensive weaknesses.
College Football Parlay: The Bottom Line
Both road teams offer value tonight. Oregon and Alabama are battle-tested programs with elite quarterbacks who won’t be rattled by hostile crowds.
These parlays target specific mismatches while backing teams getting too many points. At +525 and +370 odds respectively, you’re getting excellent value on Saturday night’s biggest games.
