  • The Las Vegas Raiders visit the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football
  • Las Vegas ranks 25th in EPA / pass allowed, and boast the third worst coverage grade
  • Keep reading for my favorite Raiders vs Broncos player props and anytime touchdown bets for Thursday Night Football

It’s an AFC West grudge match tonight on Thursday Night Football between the Raiders (2-6, 1-3 away) and Broncos (7-2, 4-0 home). This is a nightmare spot for Las Vegas having just played an overtime game four days ago, and I’m looking to pick on them in the player props market.

Kickoff is slated for 8:15 pm ET from Empower Field at Mile High, in Denver, CO, with Amazon Prime Video providing the broadcast coverage.

The first table below lists the main Raiders vs Broncos player props available in the TNF odds, plus my favorite O/U to target. The second table features the anytime touchdown props.

My Raiders vs Broncos player props card starts with over 1.5 passing TD for Bo Nix, who faces an anemic Las Vegas secondary. I’m also targeting under 56.5 rushing yards for Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty, and an anytime TD for Broncos wideout Troy Franklin.

Raiders vs Broncos Player Props Bet #1: Bo Nix Over 1.5 Passing TD

Las Vegas is significantly worse defending the pass than they are versus the run. The Raiders rank 25th in EPA/pass allowed, compared to 11th in EPA/rush allowed. Las Vegas’ pass rush is generating pressure at the league’s sixth lowest rate, which means Bo Nix is going to have all the time in the world to pick them apart.

Raiders Pass Defense

StatTotal
EPA/Pass Allowed0.13 (25th)
Success % Allowed45.79% (23rd)
PFF Coverage Grade43.9 (30th)

Nix operates behind the NFL’s top pass blocking unit, and has feasted on bad defenses this season. 8 of his 17 TD passes have come against the Bengals, Cowboys and Giants, who are all bottom-six in pass yards allowed. This Raiders defense is just as bad, opening the door for a Nix ceiling performance.

As always, make sure to scan the best football betting apps before making any NFL bet. Nix is -125 to throw over 1.5 TD passes at Fanatics, compared to -142 at FanDuel.

Raiders vs Broncos Player Props Bet #2: Ashton Jeanty Under 56.5 Rushing Yards

I’m not done picking on the Raiders yet. They’re 9-point underdogs in this matchup, which suggests they’ll be abandoning the run early. Even if they don’t, this is a nightmare spot for Jeanty. Denver is third in rush defensive DVOA, and first in defensive success rate. Those metrics has them positioned to be an intriguing Super Bowl odds longshot, and to shut down Jeanty.

To make matters worse, Jeanty is getting no help from his o-line. The rookie has the highest stuff rate (31%) of any running back, while the Broncos are 10th in defensive stuff rate, and are holding opposing runners to 0.67 yards after contact.

Shifting over to the Raiders vs Broncos anytime touchdown props, where Franklin’s price stands out like a sore thumb. He’s +190 to find the end zone, something he’s done four time already this season.

Raiders vs Broncos Player Prop Bet #3: Troy Franklin Anytime TD

Not only does Las Vegas struggle to generate pressure, but they’re also horrific in coverage. The Raiders grade out 30th in that metric per PFF, and have surrendered the 12th most production to enemy wide receivers.

Franklin meanwhile, has been Nix’s number one target this season. He leads the Broncos in yards after catch as well, and has dominated the red zone usage. Franklin’s seen 12 targets inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, seven more than any of his teammates.
