Stanford will try to salvage something from a disappointing season when it hosts BYU at 11 p.m. ET Saturday at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, Calif.
Stanford (3-8/2-3 home/2-9 ATS) brings a four-game losing streak into its season finale after losing to archrival California 27-20 last week in The Big Game. BYU (6-5/2-2 road/3-8 ATS) has won two in a row, including beating Utah Tech 52-26 last week to become bowl eligible, following a four-game skid.

BYU Betting Outlook
Jaren Hall and the BYU offense was too much for Utah Tech, an FCS program, as the Cougars rolled up 676 total yards.
Hall had a big day as he threw for 456 and five touchdowns and ran for a score. He completed 23 of 34 attempts and was intercepted once.
That pushed Hall’s season passing yardage total to 3,078. He has thrown 29 touchdown passes against six picks while completing 66.0% of his 365 attempts.

Christopher Brooks rushed for 102 yards on 12 carries. He tops BYU with 561 yards and five TDs on 88 carries.
A transfer from Cal, Brooks ran for 121 yards against Stanford last season.
Keanu Hill caught three touchdown passes last week and finished with six receptions for 137 yards. Puka Nucua is BYU’s top receiver with 45 catches for 592 yards and five scores.
BYU will be going to a bowl for the 16th time in the last 17 years.
Stanford Betting Outlook
Stanford will miss going to a bowl for a fourth straight year.
The highlight of the Cardinal’s loss in The Big Game was Joshua Karty’s 61-yard field goal as time expired. It mattered little to the outcome, though, as Stanford trailed by 10 points at the time.
Quarterback Tanner McKee was 29-of-45 passing for 271 yards with one touchdown and one interception. For the season, McKee has completed 60.4% of his 386 throws for 2,634 yards, 12 TDs and eight picks.
Elijah Higgins is Stanford’s top receiving, gaining 627 yards on 52 catches with two touchdowns. He had eight receptions for 69 yards last week.

Mitch Leigber led the Cardinal rushing attack with 83 yards and a TD in 22 attempts. Casey Filkins has a team-high 478 yards on 122 carries with four scores.
Points have been a problem all season for Stanford on both sides of the ball. The Cardinal are 114th among 131 FBS teams in scoring at 20.9 points a game and 118th in points allowed with an average of 31.9.
BYU vs Stanford Prediction
The teams last met in 2004 with Stanford rolling to a 37-10 win in Palo Alto. This would be should closer. With BYU looking ahead to its bowl game, it’s an opportunity for the Cardinal to sneak under the number.
