The Arizona Cardinals needs almost a miracle to get into the postseason, but they will look to close the year trying to beat division rivals San Francisco 49ers, this Sunday at 4:25 PM ET at U of Phoenix Stadium.

The odds for this game have the 49ers as a 1 point road favorite, and the game total is at 42 points.

Arizona needs a win, plus a loss by the New Orleans Saints against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to reach the playoffs. “It’s not in our control,” Cards Coach Bruce Arians said. “I want to be 11-5 and let the chips fall. There is some joy in that. If we’re watching the playoffs, we’re watching a bunch of teams we beat. That’s a little bit sour.”

San Francisco, on the other hand, can win the NFC West with victory over the Cardinals and a Seattle loss against St. Louis.  That scenario will give the 49ers a bye week in the first round of the playoffs.

“Everybody expected us to just coast right through the season and be easy. But as you know we went through a little bit of adversity, and people were like, ‘Well, maybe they’re not the team that we thought they were,'” said LB Patrick Willis. “But we just stayed together, and we have another chance now to go make something happen.”

San Francisco is 3-13 ATS in road games after playing on Monday night football since 1992.
